This book is easy to read, honest, and has so much wisdom. Quick chapters and makes you want to read it. I just received it and I’m almost half way through it. This isn’t just for medical personnel, it’s for anyone who wants to level up on skills, emotional intelligence, and how to navigate when you want to become someone who has leadership skills. Very helpful insights. Questions you've always wished you could ask someone who in their level of position , and here are the answers :)

This book provides a great view into a world few have the opoortunity to see. It is a wonderful opportunity to observe and understand the workings of a hospital and an emergency department from an insider’s point of view. Thank you, Dr. Silverman, for sharing your perspective in such a readable work.

This is a great read for any doc interested in administration, or simply anyone who wants to appreciate the challenge of good leadership -- whether in the Emergency Department specifically, or leadership in general. Mike's anecdotes are poignant, easy to read, and rooted in years of experience. The collection resonates with honesty and practical wisdom. Great book.

This book is a collection of essays written for EM Monthly. They don't ask apply to everyone,but there is probably a topic covered somewhere here that can help most emergency physicians
