I really like the large size. They work wonderful for straining homemade yogurt to make it Greek.

I bought these to stain homemade greek yogurt. They absolutly work for that purpose (I use a double layer). Less waste and mess than using cheese cloth/tea towel and I put them in my compost pile when I'm done. I have not tried using them as coffee filters.

I am giving this item a 4 star because it is a good quality coffee filter, however, it is HUGE! I read other reviews says that these are large and I thought "Perfect! I have a commercial coffee pot and we need large filters". No, they are about 3-4 inches taller than the basket. They look like they would be good if you are making about 5 gallons of coffee but way to big for what we need.

I use two of these to seal up coarse ground coffee which I drop into water and let sit for 14 hours for the best danged cold brew. I no longer care for brewed coffee and yes, yes I am a coffee snob – You can be too!Cold brew magnificence:* 7.5oz (213g) course-ground medium roast beans* 10 c. (2,370ml) water* soak 14 hours* remove filter dump the grounds in someone’s garden* drink responsiblyYou can tinker the proportions & time to your taste. I use the cheapest medium roast I can find on the market and cheap dental floss to tie off the filter — suit yourself! Maybe weight the package down with a clean jar, whatever. It lasts a bit more than a week in the fridge.

Bought for use in our Fetco XTS touchscreen brewer. Cheaper and available much quicker than the fetco product. Works great!
