igourmet French Frantal Emmental Cheese - 2 Pound Club Cut (2 pound)

Just as I love going to an authentic FROMAGERIE where they maintain huge wheels of fresh cheese that are sliced to each customer's request, so Amazon promised this same experience by way of quality in purchasing their 2 lbs of Emmenthal. We love cheese so while it was a bit expensive at $21 per pound, we still ordered it. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS and totally fresh. We couldn't be more pleased and would certainly re-order it again. Thank you Amazon for making this experience be so close to home.

Good swiss cheese, carefully packaged and arrived in good condition. Nice flavor, not knock you dead delicious, but better than the supermarket bulk stuff. Worth the big price? I didn't think so, now that I tried it, but I didn't want to go to the supermarket.

A good block of cheese wit no rind so no waste (or paying for stuff you dont eat). I generally prefer a slightly nuttier taste but for entertaining or day-to-day this is great. Arrived chilled

I ordered this product as part of the ingredients in a gourmet version of nacho cheese dip. It arrived packed with that blue ice stuff (I don't know the proper term.), and was still nice and cold. Over the next few days, I managed to consume the entire two pounds. I put it in omelettes, on chili (no beans!) on cheeseburgers, everywhere but nacho cheese dip! I guess I'll have to order another couple of pounds. Give it a try. It's much better than what you buy at most grocery stores!

The photo in the ad shows a beautiful swiss cheese with lots of large holes. The product shipped was a solid tasteless block with almost no holes.And I found the product on the manufacturer website and it as less than half the cost!

a pilot in Germany introduced me to Emmentaler. I love it. getting it in Germany was simple, getting it in the states not so much.it is expensive, and worth it, so it is usually packaged in small blocks. which are cut so that it is next to impossible to get decent slices out of, and due to the local provider's inept marketing, it is rarely available in useful blocks.so this packaging is a lifesaver.

This cheese has a wonderful flavor and is extremely delicious when melted. Great product! We would definitely buy it again. 😊

Unless you live in the middle of nowhere, you can get a better cheese at a decent grocery store for a fraction of the price. This was a tasty, young cheese that costs more than $20 a pound (at least at its current price). That's far more than a really nice steak.
