Is so long ego I bought this

I got this case back in April. When I opened the package, I loved it immediately. The colors were amazing, the texture felt great, and it didn't add any bulk to my phone.However, it is just under 3 months later and I find myself having to order a new case. The coral color has gotten a bit dirty looking (the gold part seems fine) and there is really no good way to clean it (at least not that I have found). Mind you, this is just from a few months of normal use (my phone pretty much stays on a clean desk/table or in my purse). This really wouldn't bother me if there was some way to clean it, but now I'm stuck looking at a dingy case all day. The other issue I have had is that a little chunk from each side has chipped off where the top and bottom pieces meet. To be clear, the chips did not break off after a drop... on one side, I just noticed a piece missing one day. On the other side, I removed the bottom part of the case for some reason and a chunk just broke off when I began to reattach it. It's not immediately noticeable and the pieces still fit together just fine, but I thought the case was going to make it a bit longer without breaking (on both sides, no less).Now, since I've gotten all the negative out of my system, let me tell you why I still gave the case 4 stars: it is surprisingly protective. I don't drop my phone every day, but when I do, I manage to drop it on the worst possible surface at the worst possible moment. I am that person who will completely miss when trying to put my phone in my purse, watch it fall several feet to the sidewalk, and then accidentally kick it down the street when trying to pick it up. Needless to say, my phone has had a few good drops with this case on it... and my phone doesn't have a single scratch.All things considered, I will be reordering this case. I will probably order a darker color (leaning toward jean indigo/gold) to see if I can avoid another dirty-looking case and hope that the chipping on the sides is just a fluke. The bottom line is that the case protected my phone well and I'd much rather buy a new case than a new phone.

My original review is below, but I wanted to give an update on this since I've had it for about a week now. I was finally able to get the case off of my phone by removing my screen protector - it took some effort as the snug case was preventing me from getting the protector off but eventually it gave way. I was then able to slide my phone in and out easily and remove the case. Not wanting to leave my phone without a screen protector, I found an extra one I had on hand and trimmed around it so that the screen protector would fit inside the edges of the case. It looks pretty silly up close but at least my screen is protected. Lesson here is to remove any screen protector you have on your phone before trying to put this case on!**I love the look and concept of this case, the color selections are nice too. It gets 2 stars for a few reasons, the biggest being that it's so snug on my phone that I actually can't get my phone out of the top piece. It is so wedged into I'm afraid I'll break the phone screen if I try any harder to take it off. Seems like others are having an adverse effect where theirs are too lose. Just beware withy this case that you might get one that is too loose or to tight. Second reason it gets only 2 stars is that if you don't use an elago screen protector specifically made for this case then your existing one will start to peel up at the edges. I use a very thin screen protector which is now ruined (and I can't remove bc I can't get the case off). This case has potential. I suggest buying the pack that includes the screen protector though. Hopefully I find a way to get this thing off my phone...

I've had this case for over a year, and it's time to retire it because its condition isn't too hot. But overall, I really loved this case, because it did its job, looked really nice while doing so, and it cost me very little to have. Here are some of the specifics:Protection: 8/10I dropped my phone a couple of times onto my driveway from waist level (I didn't realize my phone was on my lap when I got out of the car), and my screen didn't scratch or crack. My screen not cracking was probably due to pure luck, but I do know the case definitely protected it from getting scuffed. I see a lot of small indents on the corners of case, so it did protect my phone to that extent for sure. I wouldn't want to try dropping my phone any higher than waist level though.Style: 9.5/10I've received a few compliments from how simple yet aesthetically pleasing the case looks. I really like how thin the case is; if the case was any clunkier, I wouldn't be able to fit it into my wristlet or my tight pocket.Longevity: 7/10After several months, you can see that it gets kinda dirty and run-down on the back of the cover,especially if you get the Coconut / Jean Indigo color (see attached picture). If you really can't stand a used-looking case, you would have to replace it every half year or so. Also, the area where the coconut part meets the indigo part chips off after a while (see picture). One time I had the phone in my pocket, and when I took it out, the coconut part slid off and chipped. And once it chips, it's easier to slide the coconut part off of the phone, which can be hazardous. The other side chipped off randomly; I honestly don't know how.
