My daughter got a mini/party favor checker board and seemed to enjoy as we played it and she learned the rules of checkers.I ordered this right after we played with the mini board. The size is perfect! We sit on the floor at the bottom edge of the bed (or wherever) and play. I think she has a better overall view of the board due to the size. I see her poring over the board/rug and considering her next move while clearly seeing the entire area of play.The size also makes it easier for other family members (brother and mommy) to sit around and see what's happening while they wait for their turn.The rug and pieces are rugged and will likely last for years. It comes with a sealable plastic bag to hold the rug and pieces.DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED... and I will likely purchase again as a gift for others.

My family went to the store a few weeks ago to buy a checker game as my 8 year old had become very interested in the game. I was really disappointed to find that all the games were so small--not exactly something you would use for a family fame night. So I decided to look online for a larger game. I was surprised to find this! It was much better than what I was looking for and at a good price. I ordered it and love it! I love how big it is. And the storage bag it comes with has five other games you can play with the checkers, which is a great way to keep the fun going. My daughter loves this game. So glad we found it!

I bought this to use outside one nice days. Its definitely a decent size and worth the $15 bucks you spend. the only down side i would say is the the ends of the rug are coming off but i believe its due to how the product was designed. The rug stays intact its just the ends that kind of split

This is just like the set I would play checkers with at my grandparents house when I was a kid. Seems to be very good quality. My kids enjoy learning and playing checkers with this set. The plastic checker are solid and durable, and the weave board seems to be great.My only request would be that it would be nice to have a box to keep everything in. It does come with a plastic bag that it all goes into, but with the large board and checkers they slide around inside it a lot making it awkward to store with other games.

I absolutely love the Jumbo Checker rug. We've only used it a few times so far and it seems to be holding up. I could see the ends possibly fraying overtime since there is only one stitch around the borders. You could easily reinforce the edges yourself if you wish to prevent any damage. I love that we can play and not worry about the baby choking on pieces left out by my slightly older kids. It has been fun to bring it with us places. The only thing I wish were different is the packaging. It comes in a plastic bag with directions on it. I love that the directions and different game suggestions are on it, but I wish it was in a more durable bag that can't be destroyed. Its a Ziploc with half a game box inside that holds the pieces. It can easily be torn open if not careful and the game pieces fall out if the half box if the checker blanket isn't wrapped around it. With the directions on the plastic bag, they can be easily lost if bag were torn. I'd suggest putting it in a more durable bag and keeping the plastic folded up for use of direction. Overall, It's really fun. Just wish it came in an enclosed box or more durable bag.

Had one of these checkered games years ago but not sure what happened to it. So I bought another and play with my grandchildren. Perfect for the park or beach.

My grandson, aged 5, has learned how to play on this set. I wonder if I get to win a game yet.It is a very large set, but it folds into a bag the size of a gallon freezer bag. It goes camping, and traveling, and to the living room -- wherever we want it.

Boys had a great time playing with this set.

This checker set is awesome. It is perfect for my 7 and 8 year old granddaughters to learn to play and the fabric board and pieces are sturdy so nothing slides around. It's very well made.
