Lube it once in a while! RCH
Bought this to ride my bike inside in the summer in Arizona! Works great! Just kind of heavy wish it was aluminum!

adjusting resistance
This bike trainer does, indeed, allow the user to adjust the resistance, but the instruction manual is weak and the Yaheetech customer service team is useless. (I contacted them to ask for help, and they misinterpreted my question as wanting to return the trainer, so they referred me back to Amazon.) Make sure the appropriate bolt is actually aimed at the roller; at first, mine was aimed too low, and when I screwed it down all the way, thinking that I was increasing the resistance, there was no change. After studying the various hardware, I figured out that the equipment had arrived with the adjusting bolt in a misleading position, but it was easy to fix. However, note that you can't adjust the trainer's resistance while you're riding; you can do so only while off the bike. Of course, you can make adjustments while riding by shifting gears using the bicycle's derailleurs.

Ho-hum
Perfect for regular sized bikes. Does not work for my DAHON fold-up bike. Low AMAZON price? I can keep it and sell it at the price I bought it. Ho-hum.

Poor directions, manual
Works fine for the price. Not as smooth as a $400 us made model, but great for the money. The manual with directions is terrible. Ridiculously small font. Directions reference parts of the trainer, but I had to guess what it referenced. The manual uses very poor photos to show parts of the trainer. Photos are tiny, grainy, and too dark. Would drawings and charts help?I gave up.My friend who is already with bike trainers knew how to set it up with no directions

Takes two, preferably
Needs mechanically inclined person to help with assembly and more so when mounting the bike but not impossible to do alone. Bike gears work while in motion and resistance is also adjustable at the base. Great value and sturdy. I keep step ladder next to it to get on and off for safety.

Unbelievably bad construction, assembly, and instructions.
Terrible--I have assembled innumerable pieces of furniture, completely disassembled, repaired, and reassembled cars, appliances, and electronics. This came mismade out of the box missing 2 of the 4 screws that hold the tension adjuster. Only 2, not 4 holes are drilled, do not align in any fashion, and there is no geometric alignment which allows a sensible position, securing, or loading of the tensioner. I have it in place with once screw which seems destined to fail, but was able to ride successfully for a brief time but an obvious failure waiting to happen. Notice in the pictures how these screws are all over the place and half-tightened.Riding under load, the tension is only adjustable by the gears on the bike and how fast you pedal. On a 21-speed 26" mountain bike, the tension is what I consider light-moderate, about level 12 on a Precor gym bike. The assembly instructions are completely useless and unintelligible. The actual securing of the bike seems secure enough so I am not worried about falling off, but I will return this when I get a chance as I can not see the tensioner bracket having any reliability as it is plastic and cannot be secured properly.

Set up is made for quick release axles...it also comes with one in case you don't have one
Well it took about 10 mins to figure it out as the Manuel don't say too much...but.. I have to change my rear wheel axle to a quick release..as it seems the set up that locks it in is made for that....I have a nut and bolt....at this time only one side covers a bolt and the other don't....I gave a it a small test....and it held up...but i feel it would have a better grip with the quick release axle as both sides would be locked in secure...so will up date this as soon as it's done. Oh and get a small step or something to get on and off the bike with. As you are now about four to five inches higher off the ground....so get a small step , or cement block to climb on... And climb off.....enjoy ur workout..so..I got my axle changed.. Bolted up and so far it works just fine..also just found out the stand ends can adjust to a uneven floor.. Not much but it helps...but it works great,so far..my 15th time using it...since I got the axle changed...it's great....a small humming sound comes from the motor. But if you lighten up on the tension...it's a lil more quiet...so far no issues... Gave this a AA+...So its may 17 -2020....it seems that a lot of people don't realise the tension can be adjusted with a turn of the knob under the motor.... Also if you have off" road tires , you will have a little louder noise...and if your bolted in properly and you don't get any resistance check the adjuster on the bottom of the motor...its seems ur not getting any contact with the wheel motor.....
