Didn't like it
Disclaimer: 5 stars=Love it! 4 stars=Like it. 3 stars=It's OK. 2 stars=Didn't like it. 1 star=Hated it.That said, snug is an understatement. The Billabong Peeky is truly cut for juniors--very lean in the arms and torso. I normally wear a size 4 in womens, and ordered up based on other reviews. I'm 5'4" 125lbs and still found the jacket, regardless of size, too awkward for any real use. For starters, the neoprene is only 1mm at most. Even so it still felt constricting in the arms and torso due to the material and cut of the jacket. I've thicker Rip Curl wetsuits that feel much less constricting. The Peeky's neoprene is barely 1mm, and most definitely not 2mm. In other words, it's thicker than a rashguard, with much of it's thickness owing to some low cost wind shielding material that looks prone to tearing. The neoprene also grates quite a bit in the arms. In fact, it's much more comfortable slipping this jacket on inside out. Unfortunately it's difficult to zip up when worn inside out. Adding a long sleeve rashguard could eliminate the chaffing, however, it would make the arms feel even more confining. As another review stated, the arms are cut long, which I like because your wrists remain covered even when fully extended. If I'd had tried the Perky at a local surf shop, I most definitely would not have purchased it. It feels more like a show piece than a performance piece. I can't recommend it to anyone who spends any serious time in the water because your arms will eventually go numb. But it could work for anyone who just needs a temporary solution and doesn't mind the chaiffing, it'll do. Personally, I think I'm going to spend more for a jacket I can continue to wear season after season.
