Works well on metal, needs a little help on other materials.
I used this while changing my water heater vent pipes. Definitely good for sealing up mismatches in piping. Unfortunately I had to reuse a single walled elbow in between two double walled type b pipes. This worked well to keep them sealed and put.Where it didn't work so well is when I had gaps in between the pipe collar and my wall. There were two corners where the collar didn't quite cover up the hole for the piping to go through, so I opted to use this tape to keep the seal heat proof. It stuck well enough to the metal collar, but not on the wall, so I laid regular duct tape over this one to hold it in place.TLDR: Works well to tape metal together, but other materials like painted wood not so much. It's basically tin foil with adhesive.

Perfect for Duct Sealing and High Heat
This high-temperature tape is amazing! I used it on my heating system, and it holds up well under extreme heat. It’s easy to apply, and the seal is solid. No more issues with leaks, and the tape has stayed in place. A reliable, high-quality product for duct work.

5-star mixed review
The most important thing to know is this is a very specialized product made to withstand higher temps than the more common "200 degree foil tape". Therefore you should expect some tradeoffs: this comes in a much smaller roll than the 200 degree stuff. It will work BEST on flue seams, where it will stick to itself and reasonably clean exhaust piping. If you have a "special use case" be aware this may not stick so well.My special use case was to "wrap" fiberglass insulation that wrapped pipes immediately coming out of my oil boiler. Because I'm using it for something it's not designed for, I can't knock points off. Anyways: I chose this because you are not supposed to wrap pipes with insulation close to the boiler, if that insulation is at all flammable. The cheap "foam noodle" will easily burn, and so will the nicer paper-backed fiberglass pipe insulation. The fire code restriction ends after 12 inches from the flue so DO NOT use any "plastic wrap" around fiberglass closer than that!. Anyways, this "worked" to let me put a surface and seal the insulation, but it's not meant for that and looks a little irregular. :-)Another good use: put a square of this stuff on a flimsy plastic parking pass that hangs off your mirror. The added weight is perfect to keep such things from flapping around in the wing. Tape a few pennies if you want even more weight.

Works, maybe inconsistent. Hard to fit roll around flue.
Bought two rolls to seal joints in a B-vent. First roll seemed less sticky than second. Both definitely stick worse after you touch with your fingers which is probably why they say to apply from roll, but ...For such a short length of tape they still use a standard 4" cardboard roller. Makes it tough to fit the roll through small spaces, like between B-vent and intake line, or B-vent and appliance, you get the picture.Wound up cutting pieces, sticking as much of the middle as possible, then cutting off where I touched the adhesive. Wasteful, but works.Buying again since this is the highest temp rated tape I can find, but for the price v.s. length I'd like better.

Held up fine
I used this when the glass of my stove cracked. Worked well until I could get a new stove. The tape held fine and was easy to install. An old timer gave me the tip so I could still have use of my oven until I could buy the replacement.

Bought primarily because of branding.. big mistake by me.
Warmed up tape a little to soften glue but 3M tape was impossible to use and would not come off roll.If you need heat resistant tape please look elsewhere.
