I had to buy a replacement for one I bought 4 years ago. I'm a real estate appraiser and I use this thing every day. No complaints at all on how long the last one lasted!! It's reliable and accurate. The camera feature is the best, especially in bright sunlight when you can't see the laser's red dot. And I love the fact it's battery powered because if I had to stop to charge it that would be the end of the day. If you need to measure accurately, this will do the job for you.

I use it to measure large commercial and industrial buildings. Works great!It has a feature that allows you to measure the length or height of a building from a long distance away. I like the camera feature when I measure a really long distance (150 feet or more) because you can't see the laser dot when its really far away, but with the camera feature you can zoom in on the spot where you a hitting the laser and make sure its hitting exactly where you want. I suggest you add a tripod if you need to measure a long distance so you can hold the laser dot steady. Also helps to have a large target on a second tripod to get a clean laser hit.

Great tool and functions well

I had a prior version that broke after 15 years. The new version has LED/Video display that allows for targeting outdoors to get better measurements. I really like it and use it regularly.

This is my second one. The plus/minus feature on this makes my life easier! The other one is still working fine after years of service.

I have had this Leica for over 2 years now. I bought it to use for measuring houses as an appraiser. It works great for that, but there is so much functionality that I never even use. I'm assuming now that the high cost is for all these extra features. The thing is accurate, but so was my $20 laser measure.My gripe is that I dropped it yesterday for the first time, and it is completely dead. It won't turn on, it is past the warranty, and now I am out $500 bucks.

I have been using a Leica Classic for the past 14 years which has held up very well despite dropping it multiple times. I've been so impressed with the Leica product, I upgraded to the E7500i which is much smaller and does more. As an appraiser trying to keep up with tech, there's no going back to a tape. I'm hoping that this will be the last laser measure I will need purchase before I hang it up. You will pay for it up front, but get it back in time savings.
