Great chair but CANNOT be used on indoor carpet.
First off this chair is awesome and turns on a dime BUT here’s the downfall, it does not work on carpet. Reverse only has low speed and it will not move on carpet. Forward has three speeds and it will only work on middle and fast speed on carpet. The joysticks are confusing but I’m sure would get easier with practice. If you’re looking for an electric chair and you have hard floors you’re fine but this will NOT work on indoor carpet as stated on the website. It’s easy to fold and unfold and seems to be a really nice chair but I’m returning it because it can’t be used indoors on carpet. Kinda bummed and hope they can fix the issue in the future. My Dad has Parkinson’s and we really needed this too work!

Nice product, but...
This chair seems to be well made. sturdy, easy to use. 4 stars was because the instructions are not very well written. Some of the parts they reference in their instructions they use different names. This causes some confusion. It is heavy for me and I am an able bodied adult. This purchase was for a 96 year old. A video or more clear instructions would be helpful. We watched all the videos we could find. Helpful tips would be a good idea. One thing to keep in mind, you need both hands to operate. So if you are trying to get through a door, its impossible unless it is an automatic door. A light interior door is manageable. If it could somehow be operated one handed, that would be a huge improvement. A joystick maybe? Otherwise you will need someone to help you with heavy or exterior doors that are not automatic. The basket is not user friendly. it is very small and way under the seat. One must get out of the chair and bend way over to put something in and out of it. We will be shopping for some sort of canvas bag/lap bag so she can do a little shopping with it. It is very compact and easy to maneuver in the apartment and in the elevator. Hopefully we will be able to resolve the entrance and exit building doors. It came undamaged but the box was totally mangled I am surprised the chair was not damaged in shipping, but it was not. We will continue to practice with it.

Great chair - but not for everyone
This chair seemed to have everything I needed, so I bought it. It was wonderful, at first. Until I learned I had to do 3 things simultaneously to turn the chair while moving. 1) Lift one lever 2) Lower another lever 3) Pull a trigger. As a stroke patient, I found this confusing. I had to coordinate which lever turned the chair left or right, then reverse the order in order to turn the other direction. I felt there should be a simpler way. So I returned the chair and am in the process of buying a scooter with a steering tiller.

Great design except for possible hand scrapes
Like the sturdiness of the design, it is easy to break down and pull up to use just by pulling the wire at back of seat, good controls and quite strong and fast if needed but controllable too. Only bad marks were no information or paperwork came with the unit so had to go online to see how to setup which was easy when i got it online, most importantly the controls leave your hands at risk of being damaged going through a tight doorframe, i think this is something that is going to be an ongoing issue which is a pity as i love the design concept.

Great Investment
We found the Zinger while on vacation in Boca Raton. My mom was with us and was having some trouble getting around mostly due to the fact she is in her 80's. She was reluctant to try it, but did and instantly took to using both hands to start, stop and turn. We bought it for her as an early birthday present. She's had her Zinger for several months now and loves it! It wasn't cheap, but knowing my mom is getting around easier without fatigue and pain is worth every penny.
