Clear shrink tubing as advertised
I purchased the XHF tubing for label wrapping 12/3 extension cords (stingers) for film/tv work. When shrunk the tubing is a little stiff but it adheres to the substrate very well and is easy to work with. In my experience, it will shrink to slightly less than a third its diameter. Ensure you use circular diameter when measuring the item you want to shrink to since that is how mfrs measure their tubing; it comes flattened in a package - but the flattened tubing's height is not its diameter. When flattened a circle's height will be half its circumference (C = 3.14 x d), so C/2 = flattened height of a circle.

Good material
I purchased this shrink tubing to put over the couplings in middle of my garden hose. The coupling snagged on everything and put a lot of strain on the hose, not to mention the hassle of walking back and un-snagging the thing.I used a heat-gun and shrank staggered layers of the tubing over the sharp edges and also formed a strain relief so the hose is not bent to sharply at the coupling.Whether this works out for the hose problem is irrelevant, though so-far so-good.I'm going to buy more of the shrink tubing because it worked well and shrank down to an even and thick covering.A heat gun is required for the 40mm tubing; a soldering iron, lighter or match won't do it.

Excellent product
This heat-shrink tubing met my expectation in every way. It shipped in a timely manner and arrived in perfect condition. In that I had a unique situation, I immediately attempted to utilize the product. It cut easily to the size that I needed, and was easy to place into position. Using an inexpensive hair dryer, I was able to shrink it to final size exactly as I had anticipated. I should add that I have experience with heat shrink tubing from my professional background; so that I had a reasonable expectation of how this product would perform. And, as I have stated, the product is excellent.

Really nice stuff
I've used a lot of heat shrink in my day & I think this is the best I've used. It's clear so you know exactly where it in on the items being protected. It's nice that it keeps it's rubbery texture unlike some heat shrink that get all hard.

Ease of use!
Used this for the ends on my plastic 1” rope at the bottom of my deck columns, won’t unravel ever! Shrunk the 2” pieces with a paint stripper gun.

Satisfied, but 1/2" it isn't
For reference, I bought this as described for 1/2" size with 3:1 shrink, figuring it would be perfect for 3/8" rope. As you can see, the item shipped was much closer to 7/8" inch diameter. So with the over-all shrink it seemed to be snug. For those asking it comes as a milky color and as heats/shrinks does become pretty clear for adding markings. Its a durable heavy thickness too. so I probably would have gone 5 stars if the size was more accurate.

Shrunk up nice and thick.
I didn't think it would shrink down that far but a bit of time and effort and it shrunk right around that blacklight stick I made. I had to use the hair dryer on high for quite a while but it shrunk up nice and thick should protect this "lightstrip stick" pretty good.

Heat Shrink as Described.
I bought the 1.5" to use as a strain relief for my expensive EPDM garden hose. It works OK and is flexible enough for my intended use. I highly recommend using a heat gun for the larger sizes. It shrank both radially and longitudinally (after longer heating). The adhesive did not stick well to the hose jacket once it cooled. Since that is not necessary for my application I'm OK with it.I did not appreciate the fact that Amazon and the seller hid that it is made in China.
