hello,we have been readers of sunset for years. we have the original garden book, the updated version, and now this fabulous easy care garden book. there are great ideas for low water usage plants and as always, great photos. we have followed some of the ideas in our own yard. but, you will have to go to your own nursery to look at what is available in your area. great book, ideas, and fast delivery

This is a nice pictorial supplement for the Western Garden Book. It shows a lot of ideas that have been used in homes throughout the western part of the country. You will want the main Sunset Western Garden book for detailed analysis of plants.

The beautiful photos will provoke imagination but when you get back to looking for the info you need on zones and real watering needs, you will need to check other Sunset books. It is a noticable failure because with a reduced font the editors could have inserted the necessary information. The plants are low water not very little water. In California I am looking for long tap roots and plants that can survive lots of rain in January and February and scarce rain thereafter. Just a few comparative charts and graphics would have made this an outstanding go-to book. Nonetheless my copy has flags at numerous pictures to refer to this year.

This is a great companion book to the original Sunset Western Garden Book. I love the great inspirational garden ideas and photography contained within the book. It gives one some great ideas.

Lots of good ideas and I like ideas they have plus the way they show them...Using it for reference in my landscaping. Almost too many good ideas.. have to think them through.

Great resource book, it is one of many I purchased. I am a Landscape Architect (old school) and prefer books to online searches. This is packed with a great selection of plants and successful planting combinations

I visited a friend who has a picture perfect yard and she steered me to this book. I like any book on gardening, so I found this to be helpful in finding plants for my area.

Bought in ‘Good’ condition but a LOT of the pages were stuck together. And as a side note, I didn’t appreciate the religious literature stuck between pages. The book itself has a lot of nice photos and good information
