Ball Pein Hammer, 16 oz, Hickory handle, American high carbon steel, TC016, VN15530

For $14.24 I got an amazing 8 oz. ball pein hammer with high carbon steel and solid hickory handle. The size, weight, balance, shape, and feel are ideal. I bought it to use and keep for a lifetime. This is the kind of hand tool that you hand down to your kids someday.

Nice hammer. Comfortable to grip, looks nice, made in USA. Feels like it will last a nice, long while. Will buy Vaughan made in USA products again in the future.

Made in USA. Excellent quality, clean edges, quality build. Rubber handle is perfect blend of soft enough for cushioning, but hard enough to be durable.

This is nice well balanced little hammer with a decent hickory handle. Albeit, I have come to prefer composite;fiberglass handles with a rubberized grip. I get that some prefer the traditional wooden handle and hickory is a good choice. So you make this professional quality hammer with a clear varnished hardwood handle and then you put multiple sticky glued labels on it!! One is a crappy paper sticker with the product code, another is a safety label telling me I should use eye protection and not hit my head with it! And one is the brand name. And then the lower 4 inches is wrapped with a slick plastics heat shrink, right where I should be gripping the hammer! Of course no craftsperson wants this crap on the hammer handle! So the first 45 minutes are used to remove these useless labels and their stubborn glue residue, while trying not to damage the varnish coating! It's a handle, not a billboard! Why would you put this stuff in a hammer handle/ where good grip is required?? You take a pro quality tool and make it look like something off a $1 junk tool table! And these cheap paper labels with glue guaranteed to resist any attempts at removal re a pet peeve of for me. Yet some labels morre plasti in nature with no residue glue. The ones that can be easily removed. They make a nice mad in the USA product and the last thing you do is disrespect the product by slapping cheap labels on it!! That's not quality workmanship I'm sure most people hate these cheap labels with crappy glue. In my ideal world, these crappy labels would be banned!

Seems well made. Steel looks well machined and handle is also well made. Made in USA was important.

I bought this as a hobby hammer you could say. For when you don't need a full size hammer for light work. Excellent and well made in the U.S.A.

Just the size I was looking for. Made in the USA as labels shown. In the specifications it said made in China. Nothing on the hammer suggests China. Good balance and pleased with the quality. The only negative is the 5 minutes to remove labels and glue from labels. Highly recommended if looking for small hammer.
