72-520-757 Economy Disc Brake Rotor and Ball Joint Gauge Set

Having decided to reenter the garage to do some basic and not so basic maintenance on our cars, mostly due to the increasingly higher costs of basic maintenance from car dealerships and garages. I needed to get a basic reasonable quality gauge set. The project was the replacement of the rear rotors on a Toyota SUV.Although the gauge worked as advertised, I must admit that this gauge was far more changing anchoring to a place on the vehicle and holding the gauge in one place firmly and accurately enough to allow the gauge to work correctly. On the first couple of attempts, the gauge would slowly creep out away from the rotor, giving inaccurate readings on the gauge. Once I worked out a methodology for fixing the gauge, and spent a considerable amount of time getting it in place and holding steady, then it worked fine.for the level and frequency of work I do and need this tool was adequate. As far as value for money, it's far from the most expensive, and not the cheapest, so I would say it is priced appropriately for it's quality and function.Cameron

Inexpensive, although quality upon first inspection is actually pretty good. I'm really pleased with the purchase. This may not be the best of the best, but it will definitely get the job done. I have found nothing to complain about this product, and I'm picky, so that must mean it's pretty good. Unless you still have an arm and a leg leftover to give to the Snap-on guy for the same product with a Snap-on logo on it, I suggest you take a closer look at this product. I've also used Fowler brake micrometers with no complaints. It's not the best, but I'll give it a 4.5 out of 5 and round up because it really is a good product.

Decent quality for the price. It worked just as well as a higher priced gauge. My only complaint is it did not include hardware to attach the gauge to the clamp. Nothing a quick run to the hardware store could fix. Overall happy with the purchase

It does the job. But I was very disappointed with the quality. And the gauge. Use it about 4 times. I went back to my old one which was a lot more accurate and less hassle to hook up. Sorry just telling it like it is.

Great tool at the price. Very accurate and the only issue I would comment on is the dial of the gauge. It is accurate but it takes some time to get it adjusted and set.
