If you like to play chess or checkers this is s nice set to have around the house...great for teaching the grand kids too!

The board and pieces have great quality, the only issue I had with the design was having to remove the checkers pieces as well when playing chess.

Shockingly poor quality for price. Chess pieces are tiny and not weighted. I would be embarrassed to give as a gift. Board is paper veneer over wood; looks as cheap as it sounds. I searched for many sets. I thought paying more would equate to higher quality. Not true in this case. Don't repeat my mistake; don't buy this set. Thank goodness Amazon makes it easy to return.

Good for the price but not as pictured

"Polished Chessboard with Inlaid Walnut Wood"... I received a cheep wooden box with a big sticker on top. The pieces don't even stay in the foam storage slots and there were no extra queens as advertised. The clasp on the front doesn't even stay connected to hold the box closed. This is dollar store quality and isn't worth more than 10-15 bucks.

This was not worth the price I paid. Returned item right away. The top of the chess board is just a sticker. Mine was already peeling off. Plus it stated it had 2 front latches. Only had cheap latch. Was so sad that this product did not match what was advertised. Buyer beware
