Q: If you use it to cut heavy meat, will the bottom pop down?

I do not think so. My suggestion is to try it. I really like the ability to store it, use it as a tub and cutting board. Very useful item.

Q: The title says collander, but I see no collander?

It's not a typical commander with all the holes at the bottom. It does however have a removable drain which does drain the liquid if desired.

Q: When i received the item, it has a crack at the side. Will it be replaced or do i need to return this?
