Q: Where could I buy the spring.

I replace mine from Ace Hardware, the grey bin of miscellaneous springs. They stock a similar size which is a bit heavier, but, once broken in, performs quite adequately. I always buy a few at a time when I find an appropriate size, because, as with all pruners, this is the point of failure.

Q: OK to clean these with alcohol between uses? Hope they hold sharpness as I'm not likely to sharpen them.

Alcohol should not be a problem for the metal surfaces. Might be best to use soap and water for non-metalic surfaces. I have two of these and they nseem to stay sharp forever, even with extensive use.

Q: Are there replacement blades and parts for this?

Judiann, it looks like there could be but I don't sell any At this time. I have a pair and they work great! Probably will just buy another pair if and when these bite the dust!
