Fireplace arrived and it’s a nice unit. Much nice than I expected for the price. Felt very solid and it’s actually on the heavy side. I never use my fireplace, but wanted to do something with the space. I removed the entire inside of my fireplace and even the tube. Plugged it at the top too. After removing all that the unit fit in like a glove. The heat is pretty good, but I have a large open space. It would probably work real good in a less open space. Don’t plan on actually using the heat though. The flames are what I actually wanted more than anything. It has a bunch of colors and they all look pretty nice. Plan on buying another and mounting in the wall of my master bedroom. I’d say go get one now.

My mother had asked me to buy this for her for a house warming gift, along with my other two siblings. Man, when it arrived, it was already a dream. She practically dreuled because she wanted this in her bathroom so bad. My uncle came over an installed it in little to no time. Although, he was extra, he got it done. By extra, he went all in the attic to route power to it by dropping a line behind the dry from up there, and it keeps the bathroom very cozy. I am just happy that my mom loves it, and my other siblings. Very nice product!!!! I give it a big thumbs up. Thank you for making my mom happy YET AGAIN!!!! :-)

The media could not be loaded. Edit 1/12/22 - The seller responded to our inquiry and sent out a replacement unit that seems to be operating just fine so far. One star docked for initial issues, but great customer service!First off, this unit looks very nice. We hung it on the wall instead of cutting it into the wall as we wanted to play with different mounting locations before committing. The fact that it is deeper then a standard interior wall also was a concern. One of the first things we noticed was the grinding noise many talk about, which has to be caused by the rotating rod that simulates the flames. We still use it often and enjoy it. Another nuisance we found was that every time you turn it on, it defaults to C for the temp scale. The remote and front panel have a way to change this, and the manual makes it sound like the setting will stick, but it doesn't.Now our biggest concern with the issue is that yesterday we were in our room, and the unit turned on completely by itself. We don't have any other devices in there that use an IR remote like others have mentioned. There was no input and the unit turned on. What is even more odd, is that no indicators on the front panel were on. The only thing that turned on was the heater and blower. This could pose a HUGE safety concern if you don't regulate what's around it. We now are in a situation where we have to unplug it while not in use to feel comfortable with it.Edit 12/23/21: Well, the unit did it again. this time it turned on at 4:30 AM, completely on it's own, and woke is up. We have contacted the seller and they responded right away asking us to email them a video directly, which we did, and no resolution.

I bought 'this' item in 2020. Since then, the glass shattered over night. I am not sure how.So, I just bought it again using the link from previously ordered items.The new one is the same width, but 3" shorter in height. I have a fireplace enclosure built for the previous one. So, there is a gaping 3" tall gap above it.Also, the faux LED fire does not look as good as the original one.This is NOT the original item I bought before! Look at the picture. The old one is on the left. The new one is on the right, installed in previous item location.It's a whole lot of trouble to return it. It's crap. Not as good as my original one.BEWARE reordering on Amazon! Even the original order link displays the new version. I cannot even view the original order as displayed when I first bought it. There is no indication or warning of this!(I wonder if there is a legal issue in that regard... just saying.)

There is a lot to love about this fireplace. I love all the color choices and the brightness, as well as being able to control the heat output. The blower is a little loud which I didn’t foresee as I haven’t ever had an electric fireplace before, but It just sounds like a fan. Also love that it has a control panel on front - some can only be controlled with a remote and bad luck to you if you loose it. This is just the thing to make this living area pleasant and cozy. And with the no heat option we can enjoy it all year!We just installed it, and I will update my review if anything changes.Update: had this for a year. Still love!

I have used the unit for one month now and I am very satisfied with the performance and ambiance that it provides. This is a terrific value for the price as it essentially transformed an unused gas fireplace into a focal point of our family room.The installation and setup is straightforward and allows for a range of different install methods. The heat output, color and brightness options are super.I chose to install it in an existing brick fireplace by placing it on rows of similar colored, loose bricks on the top and bottom.
