I just received this item and it is gold and blue not silver and black like the picture shows! why?

I received a red and black brush, not silver and black like the picture showed.

What's the diameter of the core, not including the nylon bristles ?

This one is 1” in diameter without the bristles.

Under features & details of this vent brush tells me its a printer too and I can search the web. I'm not a genius but I think something is very wrong here...

I think you pressed the wrong bristle. No printer, but there might be a fax bristle and maybe a WiFi connect bristle. ;-)
