This item was sent in package with some other amazon items purchased, so it was damaged individually before placed in box for shipping, because none of the other items were damaged. It is pretty light, my favorite part! I’m glad I choose a blanket with a Velcro fastener, I wouldn’t like rolling around with on roll up blanket with a zipper or buckle fastener, ouch. You can unclip the strap and place it inside the flap compartment for safe keeping. The strap clasps are pretty stiff, plastic, but not flimsy where a wrong step could easily break it. The strap it’s self isn’t the thickest, but that’s what helps with the overall light weight, plus it’s a light blanket, so you don’t need a super stiff thick strap. You could switch out the strap yourself if it bothered you. Definitely a good large size, it’ll fit all four of us and our dog, with enough room for a stash of items off to the corner and small picnic spread. My husband and boys are over 6ft tall, they can stretch out the length comfortably without hanging over, it’s 82” in length! Its thin tarp-like side has yet to be tested on the beach, which is what we bought it for. I’ll update review later on sand and water challenge. The woven side is soft, the thread is thin, it looks nice. BUT because it’s woven with thin thread, it snags super easy. Our fur baby already snagged it in multiple spots with her just moving around on it (see photos), due to that it probably won’t hold up for long. I’m usually pretty handy, so I’ll self repair minor spots, but c’mon that’s not really ideal, no one has time for that. I don’t remember seeing if this item is machine washable or not, but being a mom- I’ll be testing that at some point, doubt the snagged spots will hold up in the wash. In actuality no more than $25 is a reasonable price. I can see it getting thrown out after a few uses, but for what it’s priced at, I guess it’s not supposed to last a life time. I wouldn’t buy it again.

Exactly as advertised. I used this in the park after it had rained and the waterproofing material was great for that. The fabric part was also comfortable. Happy with the purchase.
