I was renovating my house, cracked plaster, cracked cement, cracked bricks. Even I was cracking up.After a long internet search I found out that ordinary white glue is a great additive to joint compound and concrete, makes them stronger, more stable and “stickier” (well, it is glue after all).First I make a solution of water mixed with this glue, about 10% glue. I paint this solution onto the area I’m fixing. I then mix powdered joint compound or concrete with this solution. I apply the modified joint compound or concrete and proceed as normal.I actually mixed concrete with undiluted glue and pigment to make an almost claylike colored concrete, and used that to “fix” some spalled brick or create “bricks”. You can’t tell where I made the repairs.The repairs are two months old and are holding up great! Just make sure that you remove any rotted or spalled bricks and paint it with sealer a few times to stabilize them first.I used the modified plaster on a curved plaster wall under a staircase which constantly cracks from the vibration of footsteps. My repairs feel secure and crack free, even months after.I’ll never go back to just using water to mix joint compound or concrete ever again. This is now a permanent part of strange but effective things that make renovations easier and more effective!

This stuff stinks well to most anything when allowed to fully dry. It even resists dissolving longer than other water-based glues if not exposed to moisture during the curing process, but it is not the product for outdoor projects. That’s O.K. for my hobby, because almost all of what I do is hanged on walls or displayed indoors. It adheres to glass and ceramic surfaces without coming loose with age.

Good product but, I put the glue in a plastic bottle to make it eiser to use, but after a while the glue thickens and it cant be used, wounder if anyone has a solution ?

I have a craft shop and I ordered this weld bond because I do use a lot of glue. I ordered it because I wanted to have the glue on hand when I ran out of the glue I was using and so I wouldn't have to wait on an order to come inn when I was in the middle of a project. when I ran completely out of my current glue I opened the weld bond and it had liquid on top, so I tried to stir it and it was hard and I was unable to stir it. I poured out the water and was able to get some crumbs of glue out as well which was completely useless. The weld bond was still in plastic and I had not opened it prior to needing it. I ordered it in May of 2022 and didn't open it until Oct. 1st of 2022. I really didn't fell like that was too long from the date ordered and date opened. My window to return it has expired, so I will just have to live with the loss. Please think twice before ordering this product. I don't know what the problem was, but it was totally unusable , and 40.00 is too much to pay for nothing.........
