Good design, sturdy, perfect for kayakers
Looks and feels pretty heavy duty. I like the idea of the way it was designed. When force is applied, not only does the line cinch around the object it's attached to but after it's cinched as far as it can go, the jaws will tighten. So you're not relying on the spring tension or having to manually drive the jaws into the object. It's a simple, clamp and go. Only thing I worry about is if the object, say a tree limb, is just small enough to fit the jaws around. Once it cinches down and drives the jaws in, getting it off the limb will be interesting. Obviously the answer is don't use too big of an object but what if that's the only thing around? Anyways, fantastic design. I like that it has so many colors. I chose orange for visibility.

Must have to relax and kick-back, works with SUPs
Brush Gripper is a genious invention! We have 2 inflatable SUP boards so we invested in an anchor and the Brush Gripper. Anchor is cool when you are in the middle of the lake, but if you are looking for a fast and easy way to grab on to something this is the product for you. Easy to hook up, i put a carabiner to the bottom of the rope to make fastening it to the boards convenient. To our delight, on one trip we spotted a sunken picnic table few feet down and were able to use the brush gripper on the corner of the top, which allowed us to chill and hang out relatively close to shore without any grass nearby. My husband and I will be enjoying some nice lake adventures thanks to the brush gripper and all the nifty gear that is out there to make your life easy.

River fishing trip must have!
I bought this for a recent river fishing trip. I have a drag anchor for my kayak but this was the way to go. I used it the whole trip. Actually never dropped the anchor, only used this thing. I stopped in fast moving water several times and hooked this onto a branch, root, twisted re-bar, even a clump of grass once. It held great every time. The cord that came with it was perfect length and I could tie it off to my cleat quick and easy. This is a must have for kayak fishing in moving water.

Its ok
Its easy to use and install. The rope is not as long as I would want it to be but I fixed that by connecting another rope that is on my kayak all the time. The metal is made off seems ok. Its not as sturdy as the YakGear brand. It does the job well BUT doesn't grip to all rocks like the YakGear. Like I said... it's ok.

Indispensable kayaking tool
I ended up using this way more than my traditional mushroom anchor. This brush anchor allows me to cover water much faster because it only takes a second to attach and detach. The traditional anchor still has its place, but its pain if you're still looking for a spot and have to pull up and drop frequently. This is perfect for bayous and areas with overhanging vegetation. I would recommend buying additional paracord to make the line a bit longer though. I've had to miss anchoring to some good spots because the branch was a couple inches too high. I get why they included the shorter paracord, you get blown around less, but I'd rather have a longer line that I can tie off to the length I want. Otherwise perfect, I plan on buying more.

Works great for my 12' boat
Easy to use and holds my 12' aluminum boat in tide current. So much easier than tying off a rope. Also works great for tying off to the dock when loading and unloading. Would recommend!!!! It isn't the toughest built but what do you expect for the price. It is worth every cent of what I paid. The supplied rope is more than sufficient for its intended use. If you need it longer grab a roll of paracord and make it as long as needed.

A true must have
Probably one of my favorite gadgets on my boat. Use this at the boat ramp, when I’m camping on the sandbar, when I’m grilling on the boat under a shade tree, as well as when I find a good spot where the fish are biting. Also bought one for a friend who frequently goes out with me and he uses his all the time. Really great product.

River Fishing
If you fish for catfish on rivers, this is a must have! It grabs and holds on big limbs and tiny limbs. Great design.
