Fits perfectly, parts well machined
Rebuilt a VNT-15 that was completely fried when I got it, to use in a jet-engine project. I was reluctant to order a bearing replacement kit because there seems to be a lot of cheaply made kits on the market, and several of the recurring suppliers had lousy reviews for poor service when you check around on VW forums. The parts themselves are not complicated and can be CNC machined for next to nothing, so there's really not much to screw up except choosing poor quality materials. Nevertheless, some of the kits being sold for $20-30 seemed suspiciously cheap. I figured Amazon would have a better reputation and found this kit to be reasonably priced, so I ordered it. The bronze bushings appear to be machined from bronze or good brass, not sintered powder. Both bushings are identical although I thought there would be two sizes. Fortunately they fit my turbo. The brass plate for the thrust bearing is the newer design with more passages for better oil flow and cooling. The retaining rings and thrust bearings all appear to be top-quality machined parts with smooth surfaces and perfect fit. Note that the inner thrust bearing has a larger flange diameter than the OE part. Combined with the redesigned bearing plate, this should improve wear and cooling. Bolts for the compressor case incorporate flanged heads and fit fine. The turbine case bolts are stainless steel hex heads, which was a nice thought from the supplier but won't really work in practice without adding heavy washers. My OE washers are toast, and finding a direct replacement (thicker than usual with a small hole) is not easy so I may have to machine some. Also, SS bolts are probably not as strong as regular carbon bolts in this high heat application. I plan to replace these with cap head screws. O-rings are all good and smell like cinnamon oil--I had some left over. Screws for the thrust bearing plate are thankfully Phillips head rather than the OE Torx head. Reassembling the turbo was a cinch with these parts and everything fit perfectly. A little assembly oil and the shaft spins smoothly without any play. I haven't had a chance to test the turbo yet. I've actually modified it by cutting off the header section and welding on a flange (yes, you can weld to cast--this was done by preheating the casting to 800F, stick welding with Ni rod, peening the weld, then cooling slowly over 6 hours). I'll be attaching a combustion chamber to the flange as part of the jet engine design. Google dualsportdiary to find pics.

Turbo kit
Very good quality parts, shipped fast, in original packaging I give an overall A+. OEM fit no hassles installing part and no call back for bad work

SCAM: look at the rebuild guides-this should be banned
SCAM No one should buy this-you can't rebuild a turbo with these kits. You have to balance the turbos to .005grams per rotating inch, and most of the rotating parts are 'wear items,' including the turbine shaft. Lots of extra parts!
I ordered this unit and it was at my door two days later. The rebuild went like clock work and now my El Camino starts and runs like it did when new. I will continue to seek and order through Amazon.
