Great pants that I kicked up a notch
I had my eye on some work pants that would last forever. Filson has some oil tin cloth pants that are stellar, but 200 bucks. So I got the idea to use some cheaper tough canvas work pants and try to wax/oil my pants on my own.First off, these pants on their own are tough as nails and already going to keep the elements out. But after adding a layer of melted fabric wax/oil, they are out of this world. Water proof, but still super comfy. I can see these lasting for quite a while.Takes some patience working with melted wax and pressing it into the cloth and cleaning up all the goop and taking some long hours to work it all in with your fingers (Netflix binged while doing that), but I am super happy with the result.

Great Pants--Just Need to Be Washed to Fit Perfectly
I bought Carhartt work dungarees since I wanted durable pants I could use for snow blowing, cutting the grass, and doing other work around the house. I also am a teacher, so I need pants that will look good for me in school. These pants sure are just right for outdoor work and school. What I like is the back pockets are nice and large. My over-sized wallet fits perfectly. The front pockets are big enough and sturdy enough to hold everything you want to put inside. The other benefit is that since they are work dungarees, the pockets are designed to carry all sorts of items in them without getting holes in them.I am a physically larger person and these pants actually make me look good. They fit really well. The best part is that when you bend, stretch, or pick up something you aren't going to have a blow out on the side of the pants or in the crotch area. I just wish I had purchased these about ten years ago. There are also added side pockets for tools or whatever you want. The material is great and also the pants fit a bit loose, which I like. The material doesn't chafe you, but you can tell it can stand up to wear and tear. If you are a hard-on-clothing sort of person, then buy these pants. You won't regret it.

Mixed feelings
I have mixed feelings about these pants. The quality is excellent. The material is fairly heavy duty. I haven't worn any holes or torn anything. I like the tool pockets. They allow me to carry tools, cell phone, multitool, etc... However, you can only get these in loose fit. So, while the waist is fitting right, everything below is loose. What is holding your pants up is only the waist. My waist is smaller than my hips and I also wear a belt, so the waist rubs somewhat on my hips. And I don't like baggy pants. Hey Carharrt, at least give us the option of a relaxed fit.

My favorite pair of pants by far
Great pair of pants that is probably my favorite and have held up incredibly well for a really long time. Very little if any fading and very durable. No signs of wear on a pair of jeans I've worn probably 100 times or more doing mechanic work, plumbing, carpentry, and other high stress task. I work on the ground mostly and not on a shop floor and these things have held up great. Matter of fact I'm going to order another pair now lol

Size
Ordered a 32x30, but the pants where too long. The waist (32) was fine. Had to cut 3 inches from the bottom.

Now we all like a little bit of room to breathe
A couple things to mention here. First, holy moly are they stiff when you first get them. They are made from a tough fabric and it's no secret. I've washed them twice and they are still stiff. Used downy in the wash and dryer balls in the dryer. I've worn the a couple times and they loosen up slightly at the end of the day, but let it be known that there is an extended break-in period for these. Second, the cut is weird. I'm typically a 32x32 but after reading some reviews that they may shrink a little (and having some old pairs shrink on me from before) I chose to go up a size in the waist. I tried them on when I first got them and they fit snug or about just right which my other jeans that are 32x32 do not fit any tighter than usual so I don't think I'm getting any fatter, at least I'm telling myself that. Anyway, the waist fits ok, but the crotch area is huge. I dont know what to call it so let's say the "pinch area" between your legs where the front meets the back is down to about mid thigh. Now we all like a little bit of room to breathe, but this is ridiculous. It's too much and it feels awkward throughout the day. Even when I squat down, I feel like there is too much room and it feels like my fly is always open. That being said, I'd still buy them again, but I wold also keep an eye out for other options. The price point for a pair of work pants that wont tear in a few months is good and there are a lot of pockets. The pants feel well made and over time will probably break in nice. I haven't noticed any shrinking yet and I wash on cold and dry warm. My green ones have started to fade after 2 washes and visible fade marks are I would say out of acceptable range on the back pockets. Not something I'm overly concerned with, buit they are new and they should stay looking new for more than 2 washes.
