Does it covers the whole front? Without a case of course.

Yes. The protector goes edge to edge and a proper case will make any remaining gap miniscule. If you're not satisfied with other protectors because they leave noticeable gaps, get this one.

Does it adhere to the side edges?

No it does not seem to adhere to the middle at all. Only the top and bottom stick, allowing liquid or anything else to get under the protective screen. It isn't even glass. Every other glass protection screen I have bought under Supershieldz name has cracked when removed. This one is bendable--just plastic. It is advertised as glass. It did not even match my phone exactly. The top and bottom are black. I believe this is a counterfeit product. The packaging looks the same, but the product inside is not what I usually get. It is far inferior.

Will it fit the Galaxy J7?

Is there a big difference between the Galaxy S7 & J7? It fit perfectly on my S7(with nothing to spare), so if there is a big difference I'd say no. Hope this helps.
