Waterworld 4k Ultra-HD [Blu-ray] [2019] [Region Free]

fantastic picture on 4k-like watching a new movie

One can't help seeing a similarity to the Mad Max movies, translocated to a marine 'desert' environment. Certainly not the bomb some film critics rated it as.I got the 4K Blu-ray version, but this really does require a TV that supports HDR, which my 1080p plasma doesn't, the DVD version looked better on that. But on a 4K HDR supporting TV it would be great.

Was an epic costing film that has developed cult status, was great to see the film again this time with the clarity of 4K!

Since there are a lot of mixed reviews from previous releases on this page, let me start by saying that this is a review of the recently released 4K Blu-Ray. Now, knowing that Waterworld has had a fairly recent release on Blu-ray, which included not only 2 cuts of the movie, the theatrical cut and the "Ulysses" Cut, but also a feature length documentary, chronicling the storied making of this movie, I assumed all would be present here. Well, I was wrong. In spite of this being now the most recent and expensive release, you do get the two cuts of the movie, but none of the recent Special Features are ported over. This is as bare bones as it gets. Here's what you do get:1 4K disc containing the theatrical cut in 4K and the Ulysses Cut in HD (almost 3 hours)1 Blu-Ray disc with the theatrical cut.That's it. Not a single special feature. I'd have done better content wise buying the now cheaper by 3 quid BD versionI feel kinda cheated by this

This looks better than it has ever done before. I just hope on day the full extended version will be released in 4k.

Can never understand why this film flopped. Super film and stunning 4k

Not the best film ever made,it lost a fortune, but made very enjoyable because of the superb 4k visuals and the stunning DTS-X surround sound,it looks and sounds majestic ,recommended for all ,especially home cinema fans.
