I have maaaany alexa compatible plugs but these have never given me trouble like some other smart plugs - lookin’ at you Vesync! They work really well with easy, speedy set up and have done well for over a year in all our New England weather. They’re not so big and bulky as some other outdoor rated plugs I’ve had and they are of high quality. My patio string lights are as bright as intended as are the fairy lights in the front door bushes. They have a large, easy to push weatherproof button, but I’ve never used it bc they get along so well with alexa. So whenever I need additional smart plugs, these are my go-to.

Ok so i was doubtful at first to buy these. I had purchased two different brands the two years prior and they just never worked for me. I would get it set up they worked for a day and then i had to start all over. I decided to take the risk and well they worked great and i am happy i did. It took me no more then 5 minutes to connect download the app and get them working. The app is great you can set timers, put a schedule and never once lost connectivity. I used these primarily for my outdoor Christmas lights but now i am looking for other functions in my house where i can maybe save some energy. The nice gray color blends in perfectly to hide in the background. Saved me on my energy usage i saw saving on my electrical bill this year while having the Christmas lights. I loved also that i never heated up like others i had before. Glad i took the risk and fully satisfied!

I have two of these. One controls on/off times for an outdoor fountain, the other controls yard lighting (on at sunset, off at sunrise) via routines created in Amazon's Alexa app. Both work flawlessly and adjust the on/off times automatically based on (in my case) sunrise and sunset times determined by Alexa. Users can also set specific times or any number of minutes (up to an hour) before/after sunset. There's also a button on the unit for manual on/off control when needed.The only requirement for easy pairing and proper operation is that this switch be within range of your wifi router used by Alexa for IOT accessories.

Great product works easily and easy to use

A good outdoor connector needs to always maintain the internet connection and remember the configuration when the power goes out, and this is not the case with this product, you have to continually reset it to find the internet signal and when the power goes out, you have to press the switch again to turn it on and try to connect to the internet, in the end you have to manually click the switch to turn it on, which is silly, because the idea was to avoid having to click a switch. Conclusion: Don't waste your money on this product and instead buy a better one or install a manual switch.

Plug it in, hook into the Geenie app, program it, and hook it to Alexa. Done.Been farting with Phillips Hue. They're nice and fairly unified.But there are times individual lights and locations JUST DO NOT WORK.These Geenie devices are big and beefy, though they could do with a slightly longer power cord.They're weatherproofed.And they actually work in an outdoor setting.Last year before I started fiddling around, I bought one of these for my Christmas tree.Just worked.Packed it away with the tree so I wouldn't lose it.Picked up another for a small lamp in my living room where the tree was sitting and replicated it.This year, I stuck the tree on one, and used the original unit for my outdoor Christmas lights.Worked PERFECTLY.
