I'd specifically ordered these fat balls in a tub as they're more convenient than just loose in a box for storing in the shed: better protected against rodents (which we don't have, and don't want to encourage). The package arrived on time, but on opening it was clear that the tub hadn't survived the journey: it was completely smashed up and totally useless, even though the outer box showed no signs of damage. As the tub was formed from rather thin, brittle plastic, and was protected by just a crumpled sheet of brown paper, I'm guessing that the action of the loose heavy balls in transit may have been to blame: had it been filled with seed, the tub might have survived. I might as well have ordered the balls just loose in a box, as that's how they've ended up.... As for the balls themselves, they seem to be considerably more weighty and solid than those I've previously had from other sources, and don't seem to be disappearing as quickly, suggesting that they're more substantial, which I'm guessing is a good thing. They've only been up for a couple of days, so I'll update if necessary.

Fat balls are good but the container was broken when it arrived and I thought the pictures were deceiving as I was expecting 50 fat balls not 20 my own fault probably as I didn't read the description probably as it turned out these are very expensive fat balls I won't buy again.

Excellent quality, the birds go mad for them.
