Delightful sound, easy to travel with
Fills the room with sound that is clear and bright. Smaller than my cell phone and weighs a little less. A cinch to travel with. The bluetooth hookup isn't great for me with my Samsung Mesmerize, but I think that's the phone's doing. It's always a couple of clicks to get it connected. And, when the phone rings, I want the speaker to stop and not pretend to be a speakerphone; but that's a only one click, and not too bad. For the price and the size, and considering they run on batteries, it's a great deal. The power connection uses a micro-USB plug (same as my Samsung), and I've had no problem charging it with any other micro-USB cord connected to a USB wall charger. So, yeah, it wouldn've have been nice if the product came with two "bits": the USB cord, and a USB wall charger, but I'm happy that it's not just a completely custom "brick". The on/off button is in a truly poor location--with the speakers standing up, the power button is at the bottom. Everything else is nicely designed and intuitive to use.

Buy this over the EQ7
I use this almost every day. I enjoy audio books and podcasts and often don't want to listen to them on headphones (especially in the car or when sharing with my wife). It works great as a for answering calls too.I can turn it all the way up when listening to audio books and it is crisp and loud, no distortion. Often I put it in a plastic baggie and stick it on the shelf in my shower. I can hear it just fine over the water. I wouldn't recommend doing that if you aren't comfortable taking the risk of damaging the device, it also doesn't seem to like the plastic right on the speakers. I can't believe this thing still works as much as I use it and where I use it.Battery life is excellent. I use mine exclusively paired with Bluetooth on my Droid X.I also have the EQ7 which I bought at the same time but have trouble with the Bluetooth on it (won't pair to my phone anymore) so I rarely use it. The EQ7 has better sound quality when listening to music.

Great for the price!!!!
I got this to use on the porch, and going to other places like friends and family. I run it with bb curve, the next/previous track and pause/play work, the fast forward and rewind function does not. the volume buttons work. the call funtion works as well. I was going to get the EQ 7, but the thought of removing and reinserting batteries, discouraged me. This phone has the built in battery, which you plug in and charge. On this note, the charger light next to the plug/port shows green if 70 percent charged or orange if less than 70 percent when you plug it in. My suggestion is if orange when being recharged, recharge for 2 hours. If green when being recharged, recharge for 1 hour. When you plug in the charger cord, about 4-6 seconds the light will come on orange or green. 6 hours of playback time is what I am getting. Pretty basic and gets the job done, at least for me. I am not a talkin on the phone person, so my call experience with this product is minimal, but, the little time I did use it so far, it worked fine.

cool portable usb speaker for your pocket, it got "sticky fingers"
the bluetooth range was sketchy but i think thats my house, same issue with $300 bluetooth headset, was so cool itgot "stick fingers" and dissapeared, used with iphone 4 at the time, battery life was average maybe 4-6 hours usable.as of 6-14-16, i think it's a bit pricey compared to other items now currently on the market, overall i would not buy this againat 54 dollars at the time of my review edit, i think the price used to be ,much lower, but i cannot be sure its been s few years.

Nice & Portable
I purchased these speakers to go with several devices. The speakers built into my wife's netbook are extremely quiet. By adding these (and a bluetooth adapter to the netbook), she has a much better sounding system now. The great thing is the speakers also connect to her BlackBerry, and her Sirius Stiletto. The charge seems to last as described (hasn't lost a charge while running for 6+ straight hours). They could use a little more bass, but for portable speakers, they work very well.

it works good
the good: i have this paired with my LG Banter (UX265) it has decent mid range sound, looks nice, speaker phone works nice, very loud for something so small, has a little bit of bass but not much, the media control buttons are nice, the bad: the highs seem really scratchy even at low volume when connecting via blue-tooth (maybe its my phone?) as it dose not do this when using the line in port, range is only about 9 feet

loud but not high quality sound
Basically sounds as if u had 3 or 4 phone speakers playing simultaneously. Very loud, so good for beach or park visits. But no bass at all, and average highs quality. Very compact and battery lasts hours. Great if ur looking for a portable speaker but if its for stay at home desktop use, spend the extra money and buy the motorola EQ7. I ended up having to buy both cause I use it primarily in the am. When getting ready for work. And the eq5 just didn't cut it

Motorola EQ5 Wireless Bluetooth Speaker
I gave this as a Holiday gift to my wife. She, and as a result, I, love this thing! Not only serves as a external speaker system for her Ipod/laptop, but also interfaces with her cell phone, making it a wireless speaker phone! Her phone had this capability, but with a tiny speaker, loudness and sound quality an issue. She not only uses in the house, but also in the car, replacing those fm transmitter modules. So, when she is listening to music and her cell phone rings, music cuts out, automatically and hands free speaker phone at her disposal. This gives us peace of mind when driving (Using both hands to drive, as intended).Thank you Motorola, and Amazon!
