HYDAWAY New Collapsible Pocket-Sized Travel Water Bottle - 21 oz.

Works great I'm happy I invested twenty dollars for a quality product. I drank lemonade out of it the first couple of times so I never tasted any plastic. The spout is very stiff the first few times. I used the back of a fork to get it started. Now I can force it with my thumb. The trick to partialy collapsing it with liquid in it is: place the bottom on a surface such as your knee; put your index finger on the open spout, controlling the air/liquid escaping; compress the bottle starting with the bottom section. Takes about two seconds. Do one section at a time.My only concern is that the large loop on the top might cause the bottle to open when bouncing around loose in a knapsack. I will probably put it in a gallon sack until I have traveled with it a time or two. Someone complained that it overflows when she puts the cap in, my response is, dont fill it to the brim. and leave the spout open so the air can escape while you're screwing the lid in.

This is a genius product. It collapses into a slender disk, making it my favorite, most useful travel item. Imagine all the plastic water bottles you've drank out of, how harmful it is for you and the environment, and how much you will be saving with this one purchase (it holds the same volume as the average size plastic water bottle). I've been stopped several times at airports being asked where it can be bought. It doesn't leak, but the only thing is that when drinking through the mouthpiece, you are also sucking in some air. Otherwise, I have no complaints, very satisfied, and it will be my only water bottle.

Hated it. Very difficult to open. Does not hold the promised ounces and the water tastes awful.heavy for its size Bought it for touring Italy. Threw it away, instead. Wasn't even worth hauling back and returning

Works ok. Convenient and I had no problems filling in the airport, but once full, it is bulky in the middle and harder to slip into a smaller bag. Consider bringing a carabiner with you so you can attached it to your bag/backpack when full, otherwise you will have to hold it. My bottle developed a funny smell/taste (only added water) in the middle of my trip. After washing multiple the times, the taste/smell disappeared but who travels with a sponge and dish soap? Also the middle rubber (decorative piece) came off when I came home (trip lasted less than a week). Not tremendously more convenient than just carrying a smaller plastic water bottle.

Purchased both a Red and a Green pocket sized collapsible HYDAWAY travel bottle and upon arriving, the Red cup had no issues at all. However, the green one has a cut seam on it that is preventing it from holding water of any kind higher than it and leaking all out over you when you try to drink from it. I'm not sure I'd want to chance buying another one since out of 2 items ordered only one holds water properly and they cost a fair amount.

Read a review on Wire Cutter so ordered this for travel. Have already thrown it out. The sides are very soft - which is understandable as it needs to collapse - but it makes for awkward holding while trying to drink. But my biggest issue is the lid must be put on exactly right. I had two instances of being drenched because the lid looked like it was on properly but in fact was a bit askew. If you need something while backpacking through a county, this might be your answer but for me, it was more trouble than convenience.

i love these water bottles. they are fully collapsible and just great for use at work. they can be a little flimsy at first b/c i was used to more rigid water bottled but now that i have been using it for some time it has been great. i will be getting some for my kids soon

I previously purchased a different style of collapsible water bottle and was pretty disappointed with my choice for a variety of reasons. Then I found HYDAWAY and I couldn't be happier. The collapsed size is incredibly small and, as such, is easier to stow in purses, bags, backpacks, carry-on luggage and pockets (large ones!) What I really like is the shape of the expanded bottle - the center rib is quite rigid, making it easy to hold. More importantly, this rigid area means the bottle will not collapse when in use.I did not experience the odor other reviewers mentioned. I washed/rinsed the bottle prior to use.The bottle DOES fit into my car's cup holder and is easy to pull it out by the handle on top.I did not initially purchase the carrying case, but have one now - makes it incredibly easy to stash the bottle for carrying.
