The original Swiss army
This is the second one of these knives I have bought. The first one I had was a red colored one, I chose the black this time. The reason I chose the black one was purely aesthetic. The reason I bought a second one though was because the first one which I still have I got 20 years ago. So durability wise, these things last forever. They're small and easy to put on the keychain and carry with you everywhere. Unlike like a full-sized one, it doesn't have all the tools, such as a bottle opener. However it's very functional for what it is. Great little knife, and a cool color!

I carry a Classic SD every day.
I honestly could not say it enough - buy the Classic SD. I have carried a Victorinox Classic on my keychain since high school and the knife has helped me time and time again with simple everyday tasks. Every Classic SD that I own oozes the quality that I have come to expect from Victorinox. The steel in the product is durable and reliable. The knife is small, yes, but is more than adequate for the average person's usage needs - opening boxes, cutting off fibers from clothes, getting that awful blister packaging off of kids' toys, etc. The scissors work aptly for getting a hangnail off or any plethora of uses. The nail file/screwdriver combo has come in handy numerous times for a variety of reasons. Also, the toothpick and tweezers are two items that I use incredibly often...very handy to always have on you. I often tell friends when I give them one that it is the ultimate knife to take on a date. The toothpick will help in obvious situations. The tweezers whenever you need to check your eyebrows (haha, I am serious). The scissors for those unsightly nosehairs you noticed when you got to her place (happens, but use EXTREME caution). The nail file for when she breaks a nail - she also may use the scissors too for nail issues...I know my girlfriend does. The knife for when you forgot to buy her a gift and you need to open it before getting to her house (you never know). Yeah, I list some of the more random reasons why this knife will be handy to you, but you will likely end up using it in some of these capacities while it rides in your pockets through life... at least until you lose it and have to get a new one. The good news is though, you have done a good deed when this happens, because just like a forgotten umbrella someone is always happy to find a Swiss Army Knife. Buy this knife and carry it everywhere. You won't regret it. Ever since my father gave me one years ago, I have never regretted having a Classic SD on me.

Perfect low-profile utility keychain
I bought this because I wanted to carry something on me at all times that could be used for some sort of utility purpose, without making my keys unnecessarily heavy or bulky. This has served that purpose perfectly, and I've used every tool at least once, and each use has been a success. I'm very happy with this purchase and would strongly recommend. Pros: Small, and fits nicely on a keychain. I've noticed no change in the size or carry comfort of my keys since purchasing this. After several months of being in my pocket daily and with occasional use, there is no change in the condition of the keychain. The build quality is great. Knife is sharp and perfect for opening boxes and making small incisions in most materials. Scissors are surprisingly useful, and have been used to cut everything from loose threads to zip ties. It also works great for cutting nails (very carefully). Flathead, tweezers, and toothpick all work mostly as they should. Cons: My sole complaint is that the tweezers sometimes cut hairs rather than pull them. I feel like it's important to note that this keychain does require some finer motor skills to access some of the tools.

Made by Victorinox - their Army knife. What else needs to be said.
Always smart, practical and easy to carry. Knife, nailfile, scissors, screwdriver, toothpick and tweezers. Fits in the palm of your hand. Many colors.

Always have one with me where ever I go.
This is the best little pocketknife for my keychain. I've gone through multiple of these Swiss Army Knives over the course of 40 years or so. They last a long time and most often I need a replacement when I forget to leave it at home when I'm flying. I especially like the screwdriver. This has helped me remove many tight screws and the knife keeps on working.

Not as heavy duty as my old model but very convenient!
The other day, I was rushing to the airport to catch a flight and as I exited my car and sprinted towards the airport, I forgot to remove my Swiss Army SD from my keychain. At the TSA checkpoint, the agent made me throw away my trusty Swiss Army SD which I've had for over 10 years. Of course having a .5 inch blade be prohibited seems pretty ridiculous. The toothpick had long fallen out, so I told myself maybe it was for the best. Every other part worked just like the day I bought it! The black shell hardly even looked like it had a scratch despite 10+ years of carrying it everywhere. I remember paying around $30 when I first purchased it, so I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was ten bucks cheaper now. As I removed the new one, I saw right off the bat that this one came in a small cardboard box. My old one, I remember, was sealed in a plastic card with a small instruction/care book and paper warranty. Okay, so maybe they saved some money on packaging to get the price down. When I removed it from the box, I noticed it was about 25% lighter weight than my other one. The shell's plastic felt a bit more 'hollow' and cheaper. Clearly, my old one was made of a more compact bakelite-type of plastic, whereas this one was not quite the same. I noticed some small lines on the black finish just from the knife moving around during shipping. My other knife looked brand new after 10 years. Oh well ... that's the world we are living in these days. Questionable quality ... tje blade's edge also doesn't seem quite as beveled and sharp as my last one, which I never once sharpened but it remained razor sharp. Beyond that, it is the same size as my old one. Same tools/functions. Keep in mind for those complaining about the placement of the key loop on regard to the knife, the knives and the scissors must open opposite each other due to the way the knife is made. You'd MUCH rather use the blade with the keys on top a bit awkwardly vs. the scissors, which would be very much tougher to use if they were inhibited by the key placement, like the knife. So why is this so great? You'll use this little knife ALL ... THE ... TIME! I can't tell you how many times I walked into a bathroom before a client meeting or a date and snipped an errant nose hair out. Little splinters of wood are no match for the tweezers, whereas few other options are usually available. These won't remove a tick or anything ... but when you need to pull a little glass shard out of your foot ... they are amazing to have. When you have a clothing tag or a hanging string ... or you need to cut a wild flower stem, or even a small tree stem ... these are great. Are you out and need to cut a little cheese and pepperoni for a snack in the hotel room? Need to start and orange peeling ... or shave a little citrus skin for a martini? The sharp knife has you covered. The scissors and blade will also allow you to perform emergency self care. Work on a painful hang nail, pop a blister, etc. I've used this knife so many times to open packages, remove the shrink wrap on vinyl ... and as sloppy as the screwdriver head on the nail file seems, it actually does work to remove screws! I used it to remove a curtain rod one time when I forgot my flat head screwdriver! There are SO many little jams and scrapes this thing will help make your life easier by getting you out of! I'd have paid a bit more to get back the quality of the one I purchased a decade ago. That one was made as strong as a tank and every part worked just as good as the day I bought it, except the toothpick, which fell out. I am a little concerned this one will crack, or the scissors will break as they are not made as well as my old one. Trust me when I say you need one of these! I like the black colour with the silver shield logo. It's sleek looking. Just remember to take it off your keys if you'll be entering a federal building, airport, or concert. The little key ring also never failed me. This is of the best purchases you could make and a super nice gift. Glad I replaced mine. The SD is the perfect size.

Perfect EDC Tool - On My Fourth One!
I've been a fan of the Victorinox Swiss Army Classic SD for years now, and I'm currently on my fourth one! That should tell you how much I love this little tool. I lost my first one, broke the screwdriver and wore out the scissors on the second. I had to throw away the third one when I approached a metal detector, but I didn't think twice about purchasing another. The quality is consistently high, and the small size makes it perfect for everyday carry. It easily fits in your pocket or on a keychain without being bulky. The functionality and durability are worth every penny. I'll continue to purchase this handy tool for as long as they make them!
