Gives Rock Collection A Nice, Subtle Shine
Being a Michigan girl, rock hounding the inland beaches & the Great Lakes is in my blood, been collecting rocks since childhood. I’ve tried a couple of rock tumblers to polish my treasures but was never satisfied with the lack of shine, and the fact that the tumblers greatly reduced the size of the rocks. I don’t use my collection for crafts or jewelry so I prefer to keep the rocks as close to their organic state as possible. After finding a 24 lb Puddingstone in my yard last week, I thought to try some stone sealer on it to reveal its natural beauty. This sample size bottle is small but it goes a long way, have plenty left to coat more rocks. The first coat was ok but I added a second coat and it did make the rocks shinier than just one coat. I’m excited to do this with the rocks that I keep on display in my home, giving them the wet look, making each rock prettier than their dry state. There is a slight odor to the sealant but it’s easy to tolerate. Being the first time that I’ve ever sealed rocks, I have no other product to compare this to. I am quite satisfied with this brand, would buy it again, and would recommend.

Very Best Sealer I've used and I've used some good sealers in the past!
We had just over 600 sq feet of Travertine Natural Stone Tile put in 20 years ago and not being an experienced person in tile maintenance, which you need to be IMHO, well versed in knowing what, when and how to keep it looking great since it can be a phenomenal asset to your home. As you can see by one of the pictures (I'll let you guess which one) that the tile had been sorely neglected and that one picture is actually AFTER I had completely stripped and scrubbed all the wax and sealer off it completely. The Tile actually looked like there was at least some hope, but the grout, well, it is so bad that I worried Amazon would cancel my Prime Membership if they saw it. Nevertheless, it had to be thoughtfully addressed so I used a Grout Refresh product on it and prayed a lot that this project would eventually turn out respectable after the several days, yes, more than many had I spent getting it Sealer-Worthy. This is where the Black Diamond Wet Look Stone Sealer comes in. I do have some, but limited DIY experience with sealers and know they can go horribly wrong (this is where the suicide hotline comes in) then it's a complete disaster to fix. I read a couple of unfavorable reviews with pictures and can only suspect they did something wrong. This sealer is by far the best sealer I've ever used. Follow the clear and concise directions, like don't shake it, don't let it puddle, use specific applicators, I used a pad applicator because they're simple to use and applies the sealer uniformly. Let it dry one hour between applications and apply 3 coats max, all of which I did. This Sealer performed flawlessly as you can easily see. I now have 3 excellent coats of a top-grade sealer and seriously can't believe the outstanding beauty it restored to my Tile. I give Black Diamond Wet Look Stone Sealer 5 solid stars for a superior quality product, ease of application, brilliant, finished look with zero imperfections, fair pricing and restoring my faith in sealers again. Thank you, Black Diamond, I'll be using more of your products in the future.

Perfect item for my bathroom.
It sealed a dull black slate floor in the kitchen, bathroom and stairs. It went on easy and stayed pretty glossy. I ended up applying three coats and it came out pretty nice. Washed it a few times and the water just beaded up. A much easier project than I thought. My floors look new. They really needed this. Happy this far!

BEST sealer on the market!
I have always sealed stone myself and do it about every two years, except this particular bathroom which needed a lot of TLC. The photo shows our travertine shower after we removed the shower doors. As you can see, the stone is pitted and worn from cleaning over the years. I hired a global "professional company" to strip, clean, and seal the stone. After four hours of sheer misery dealing with them, it looked exactly the same as it did when they arrived. It didn't even look like the stone was sealed when he left and it was still very dull. I was very nervous to apply a different sealer over the cheap impregnating sealer they applied, but at this point, I pretty much had to go for it. After some research, I realized they used a very thin coat of water based sealer (which I predict they diluted.) I watched the manufacturer's video on how to apply this particular brand (fortunately the same as all the others) and bought an applicator generally used for applying paint or stain instead of a roller like I normally use. The shiny restored stone in the 2nd photograph is after two coats. I am astonished that a product sold to the average consumer could produce such quality results and I am ditching the remaining sealers I have in my garage. A gallon was way too much for general household use, but it was worth every penny. I am your average DIYer with a little more experience than your average consumer for these types of projects. It was very easy to apply and wipe down. I did buff it a bit with a drill and 4" buffer head, but it does not need a buffer if you wipe it down properly. I left streaks because I should have grabbed another dry towel so I created work for myself. This is truly a miracle product. The photos speak for themselves!

Don't let water touch it - EVER!!!
It dries quickly and looks fine after putting it on. But any drop of water or heaven forbid you try and mop the floor, and it leaves white spots all over. I hoped they would go away, but they're still there 3 days later. This makes my life much harder as I need to strip it all now and redo the patio. Refund please! And if you want to send someone to strip the floors of your product, that would be great justice too LOL.

Worked wonderfully!?
This stuff worked perfectly for my slate floor. Follow the directions people. I cleaned the floor with simple green to get all dirt and grease up. Steam cleaned it and let it dry completely. Then I applied in a thin layer, let dry for an hour, then repeated 2 more times. It has the wet look as promised. The floor has protection so no more grease stains, water stains, etc. We couldn't be happier with this product.
