Perfect!
Works EXACTLY as I wanted it to. Bought this prior to setting up our Christmas decorations this year to control individual light strips via our Apple Home app and it works perfectly. Easy set up, no issues. Works like it should. Highly recommend!

Great customer service
This surge protector was exactly what I was looking for. It was super easy to add Apple Home and worked great for several months. Unfortunately, it completely stopped working after about 8 months. Fortunately, Meross customer support was great. They responded immediately and shipped a replacement out very quickly with no hassle.

Works great with HomeKit
Easy setup with HomeKit and works great. Using it for lighting for a bearded dragon enclosure and it's much more convenient to turn lights on and off using my iPhone rather than reaching around for cord switches on three different lights. Plus, setting up HomeKit automations is a breeze and now the lights come on in the morning and turn off at night without having to worry. One downside is that the device must use a 2.4Ghz wifi connection, 5Ghz not supported. This is pretty standard with IoT though so not a big issue. Just make sure your iPhone is on a 2.4Ghz ONLY network when setting up the device.

Cool Smart-Gadget - Integrates Easily
What will they think of next? A smart-surge-protector, really? I jumped on this one as soon as I saw it. I’ve wanted to stop ‘vampire’ power-drain from the devices in the living room (TV, game-consoles, BD Player, etc…), but let’s face it, having a traditional power-strip behind or under the cabinet and having to reach down every time you need to use a device is just not practical. That’s why the ability to have a smart-plug that can control multiple devices and offer surge-protection as well was a no-brainer for me. The basics here are that there are four AC outlets and four USB ports which are all controllable from the app or via a schedule. The AC outlets can be controlled individually, while the USB ports are all controlled as one. The app has all of the standard features you’d expect, just remember that it calls schedules “routines” instead. I was able to set it up right away using the meross app, and then I just went into the Alexa app and added a new device using Add Device -> Plug -> Other. I didn’t have to add a skill doing it this way. Also, if you want to be able to control individual outlets from Alexa, just rename them in the meross app first, and then re-discover them from the Alexa app, and they’ll be listed individually. I have three game consoles, and a Blu-ray player connected to the AC outlets, and the USB ports are taken up by a FireTV stick, a Google Chromecast, and two USB cables to charge game controllers. I expect to leave the USB ports on most of the time, and only turn on the AC outlets as we need them either via the app, or by asking Alexa to do it. This is also better than having a bunch of individual smart-plugs controlling each device. The cord is six feet long, and the surge-protector itself is a little bulkier than a standard surge protector. It’s larger in every area, which I guess is to account for the WiFi, the controller board, and the USB charger, but not so much that it became a problem for me. What a welcome addition to our ever-growing automated household.

My favorite smart device
I have now purchased three of these, they integrate with my smartthings system well, though they do take a little bit of extra set up to get them integrated. I use them to control fans and lights and immersion heaters in my greenhouse, especially during the winter, and I use them to control lights and other outlets in my shed. I like my smartthings system, but honestly, if Meross ever made their own smartthings rival, I would switch.
