A Great Read!
A beautiful Book, well written, educational and a must read for anyone that’s worried or concerned with Climate change and rising sea levels, because from this Book you will see that what’s happening now has happened before and will again, because this is the Earth just going through one of it’s Cycles! I learnt a lot from it!! Nothing I didn’t know before, but it was good to have it confirmed again by someone who’d done his Research, and done it well! I learnt much about the Arctic, it’s seasons, it’s flora and fauna.

if you enjoy reading about the hazards and stamina of early artic explorers, you will enjoy this book. It is based on the journals of a nonmilitary interpreter and tells the story of one of the rescue ships sent to look for the lost Franklin expedition. Easy to read and interesting.

Really interesting about finding a "real" NW Passage

Interesting Story
Nicely written story of another part of history I've taken for granted. My only small complaint is I'd love to see maps of where the events took place. Well done overall.

Maps?
A well-written account. But it sure could use some maps!

Gotta Read This!
The author pulls you into the story with a great narrative and timing. I've read the hard cover and now re-read the Kindle every chance I get. When is the Movie?

Can't recommend it
I can't say as I recommend this book. I'm 35% into it and it is still uneventful. The writing is broken and not fluent, by that I mean it reads like a bunch of diaries put together. I'm not saying that there voyage was uninteresting but if it doesn't get better soon, I'll put it down. A much, much better read is Endurance: Shackleton's voyage.
