Strong dye odor in the Blue Ridge color...

I really like the knit fabric for winter, the fit is a bit big and they run a bit long. My issue with them is the strong odor from the dye in the Blue Ridge color. Breathing it gives me a sore throat. I am trying to work on reducing the odor and it has been a project. I wish I had returned them. I have a pair of black JAG shorts that I love and had no issues with. I ordered another pair of these in Forever Blue and they smell better but they are 1-inch wider in the leg so they don't fit me like a skinny jean so those will have no go back...nice color though.
