I bought for my Mother to wear at a wedding and it’s simply beautiful, elegant , comfortable and it’s the color she wanted so it was a win -win all the way. She on the shorter side so we had to get it tailored at the bottom but she said it was comfortable to wear she matched it with nude pair of pumps. She looked absolutely stunning.

The blush evening dress is very beautiful. The color is a bit darker than it appears in the photo, but it’s still lovely. It’s rather heavy and well made, though the zipper on the first one I ordered was stuck. I ordered a size 10 because though I’m short in height, I’m overweight in the middle and wanted to make sure it would fit across the waist. Most of my dresses are an 8-10. The top part was a tad big ( I’m a 36C), and I will need the straps taken in about 3/4 of an inch. At the time I ordered they did not offer a petite size so I knew this cut might need alterations. At 5’1” I’ll definitely need it cut off and hemmed ( at least 10” of it). The jacket fit perfectly.

Sorry about the additional post.In case my refocus post somehow didn't go through (I accidentally hit the submit button before I was finished) here's a brief description of me: 5'10" muscular build - not too firm but I don't have any rolls. I wear a size 38D in VS bras and an XL Target and Nike sports Bra. My pant size is 16 or 33, sometimes 14 or 32 with a 33-34 inseam. I ordered one size up, an 18, because of the previous reviews and it fit perfect.I was stating before that the package I received - in only TWO DAYS! - was quite heavy and I found that it was because the dress was very well made. The lace is beautiful and soft, although if you're sensitive to lace being itchy - you may not care for this dress.... I tolerate it fine but can easily see how the jacket (which has most of the lace that comes in contact with the skin) could be irritating. The lace overall is quite soft however, and dainty with long vertical lace patterns alternating with soft sheer fabric. With the lace pattern being vertical, I think it gives the dress a slimming look. I love how thick the lining is. It's a nice fabric - not cheap at all... More like a thick polyester/viscose, and doesn't cling but still gives me a feminine shape. It has a slight stretch that allows you to easily move but I have no doubt the dress will not lose it's shape. I'm not soft and squishy but I'm not too firm either - so I didn't want a dress that drew too much attention to the unflattering parts of my curves; I just wanted something to address the fact that I HAVE curves. That's the one thing I do appreciate about this dress... It has the right amount of both and even on my figure it fits just like the model's; hanging quite nicely and very flowy at the bottom.The jacket is a nice touch and is entirely lace. I wish it had a nicer seam on the edge of the sleeve - I'm quite picky about clothing being made well - but it still tapers nicely at my forearm and lays well. Info think the jacket shoulders are a tiny bit wide. I don't have too-broad shoulders but mine are definitely not narrow. I feel like the shoulda droop just a little.The dress has a zipper that runs to your tail end in the back. For the most part it's not noticeable but when looking at my side profile I feel like the bottom of the zipper pokes the fabric out a bit making a little point. Like I said... I'm pretty picky but decided this was bearable because everything else seemed right. I tried a short crystal necklace but because of my breast size and that the collar of the dress goes nearly all the way up to the neck, I think I will look for a long hanging necklace in a champagne crystal color to accessorize but not distract from the busy sequins already in the dress.Back to the jacket.... It falls just under the bust which creates a smaller waist and the mermaid-type bottom of the dress touches the toi of my feet - nearer my ankle than my toes even while wearing my perfect pair of silver sandal pumps - about 2 1/2 inches - that I've had for some time.I am a professional pianist so this dress is what I will perform in. It is conservative yet sexy and it doesn't shoe my upper arms as I play! Bonus! I'm 40 yrs old and love fashion. For my size t think this dress does a great job giving a modern yet traditional look for a more dressy event. It's way to sparkly for anything else.

I hate dressing up, sweats, jeans, 20 year old t-shirts are who I am. I needed a dress for my son's wedding, I bought 5 and asked my other son (not the groom) what he thought (my husband's standard answer is "if you like it, I like it" which is no help).My son's (not the groom) replies were brutal - "it's a wedding, not a funeral", "you're 50, not 80", "that is the ugliest dress I've ever seen", "I will act like I don't know you if wear that" and "I'll ask my girlfriend to take you shopping". Then he sent me a link to this dress.I returned the other dresses and bought this one. I loved everything about it. It fit almost perfectly, I had to have the tank straps lifted ($20 for the seamstress). I was comfortable in the dress for 10+ hours: pre-wedding pictures, ceremony, more pictures, cocktail hour and reception. And it wasn't too flashy, sparkly or glittery. I could not have been happier!

Very pretty and sparkly. The dark grey is a little depressing (wish it came in a brighter color). I am 5'8" and it came to my ankles - not floor length. So I returned it for that reason. Also,the jacket made it look matronly (NOT my goal!). I bought my usual dress size and it was loose on me.

I like this gown a lot. The lace is soft and pretty. It has a like stretch. The sequins are not overdone and stay in place. Overall it is a well made dress and fabrics used are of good quality. It’s a breeze to do the zipper because it does not get stuck. What the designer did to the bottom of the dress is a nice touch that makes it look elegant. I ordered size 10 because I have a thick waist and tummy is not firm. I am 5’3” and weighs 130 lbs, bust is 36B and waist is 32 in. With 2&1/2 inch heels the hem was touching the floor so I shortened it a little bit, about 1 inch to make it look like in the pic. But if you are wearing 4inch heels, no need to alter. I’m going to wear it next month as part of a wedding entourage. The bride requested for us to dress in formal gown with a tiara.

I ordered a size 12. Not only did I receive a size 16, it was missing the jacket.

I wear a size 12 in AlexEvenings but had to buy a 10 in this style. I also had the shoulder straps altered as they were too loose. Otherwise it’s a well-constructed dress that’s is comfortable. I’m the MOB and couldn’t be happier with this dress.

The fit was good and it was as presented

I have been hunting for the perfect Dress for my Son wedding for entourage, im very particular with the shape due to my body , im usually size 14 but since I don’t want anyone to focus on my chubby body shape I decided to go two more up the size to give room, and im so glad because it came so perfect, I love it so much, its looks so elegant on me, I cannot express the rights word BUT to say that it’s so perfect, love it love it, I adjust and hem on the shoulder part to make it exactly on my height

It is a beautiful dress, but the size was bigger than I expected. I had to get it altered . in the end, though I really liked it.

I liked it and it is a great dress
