I used the adhesive-backed holsters to attach to the door of my "Stack-On" gun cabinet. Finding space for pistols in a safe designed for rifles is challenging. They usually wind up in a pile of pistol bags at the bottom of the safe. Then when looking for the one you are taking to the range, you have to open each one to see if it is the right pistol. Having these hanging on the door keeps them banging around or getting pushed out of sight (which will send anyone into a panic thinking one may be missing). They are kept clean and dry inside the safe, and easily identifiable and readily available. A nice accessory to have instead of having to buy another safe just for the pistols. Plan your placement with closing the door in mind. Once the adhesive-backed velcro is in place, it is not easy to get off. Usually leaving the velcro unuseable. I placed one between the door and a shelf, and it blocked the door.

I bought another brand years ago. The other brand was creased in the front to make the holster open up wide. This one is more like a wrapped material. For thicker larger guns I look the other type and for most of my normal size guns I like these. They hold very well on the safe door carpet. have some very heavy all steel pistols and they never fall. Yes, I would recommend these.

Looking at other reviews I tested it first and yup, the adhesive is horrible. I stuck it, rolled it down and let it sit for a day. Adhesive came loose with a light pocket pistol within hours. I went ahead and ordered it because I already had a roll of industrial strength velcro that will hold 10 lbs. with ease. Had I not had it I many have searched for something else. The holsters themselves are nice. Fits everything from a King Cobra to a 1911 to a 380 pocket gun, though not optics friendly. It may work with a red dot, I don't know. If you are going to screw it in consider that the adhesive will come loose to the point where just the screws are holding it up causing a sag issue. If you are going to stick it up get some industrial strength velcro or find something else.

It worked great I'm safe. And elsewhere. Velcro holsters are strong enough to hold all my guns. No sagging.

Worked great in my gun safe on metal backing on the door. But I had to use two of the supplied screws to hold it in place. The adhesive backing would not hold my loaded Berretta 92FS, too heavy. I suspected this when I purchased it reading the reviews but was confident the screws would help.

The ad states that the adhesive will insure that the holster sticks to any surface, i.e. metal, plastic, etc. this is false. One of the holsters adhesive back gave way from the location It was glued to on the side of the metal gun safe door. It had a large frame, semi auto pistol in it. The hammer spur on the pistol, gouged, and damaged the wood on one of my hunting rifles! Very dissatisfied !

I like that you can locate it in any areas for easy concealment. Placed in gun cabinet, side of night stand, and other places. All size pistols from compact to full size worked great.

Easy to install but not 100% adhesive as I would like. Sticks well to bare metal surfaces but not as well to liner coating my big gun safe. Resulted in dropped 1911
