Great customer service

The name says it all, they are the BEST! I would occasionally hook up this inverter to my truck battery when I needed it at a jobsite where it was impractical to power from a normal electrical outlet. One day, when hooking it up to my battery, it would not power on. I contacted the company to see it if I could purchase a new power switch and they asked for the purchase invoice and a video of the problem. They responded and said that even though it was out of warranty, they would send a new unit to me. I was shocked! Awesome communication and customer service! I wish all companies stood behind their products like Bestek!

So far, so good

I haven't run it up to the rated 2000W yet, mostly because I don't have enough battery behind it to supply what it needs to get there. But it's worked fine at 1100W, so it will run a crock pot, coffeemaker or tiny grill (panini maker). It will run any reasonable amount of lighting, and some power tools. It's important to take the instructions seriously. It comes with 2 sets of cables, and both MUST be used. Internally there are two inverters in there, working in parallel, and they both need to be powered. For light loads you can hook both sets of cables to the same battery. For heavy loads you should generally connect each set to its own battery. Useful math: if you want to run a 1200w 120v appliance on this with a 12v battery, you're asking that battery to provide over 100A. That's harder than you want to push a lithium battery. so use 2 batteries. Or a single beefy lead acid battery, but those wear out faster. And lesson learned. If the connection to the battery isn't tight, and I mean screwing down the connections with a tool, the battery terminals will heat up from even the trivial resistance the loose connection causes. It gets hot enough to cause a burn. The clamps this unit comes with are probably ok for a lead acid battery with fat binding posts, but lithium battery often come with smaller screw terminals. Make sure the screw terminal firmly engages the bottom and side of the clamp and screw it down as tight as your hand can manage. Or else! This unit really should come with alternate connectors for those screw terminals...

It worked!

When hurricane Milton hit Naples FL and my power went out... I hooked this up to my car battery and ran my frig so all the food would not go bad, It worked. I was worried about the current damaging the circuitry of the frig but it seems to be fine.

So far so good...

I really wanted to buy a pure sine wave inverter but they are just too expensive. I actually did buy a 1000 watt PSW unit before I got this one, but the 1000w unit fried instantly under the first load I put it under. The moral of that story is don't buy a cheap PSW inverter, at least not for any large high-current loads. This inexpensive modified sine wave unit is working so far for the main thing I wanted, which was to run my porter cable 6 gallon air compressor on the go to inflate paddle boards and tires and such. The compressor is rated at 11 amps (1320 watts) and this inverter runs it, but it does run a bit more slowly and with a slightly different "tune" than it does on household AC. Kinda to be expected on a cheap and dirty MSW unit so I can't really dock them a star for that (but I almost want to).I appreciate that the fuses are externally accessible on this unit. Also like the dual battery clamps setup, that helps a lot with getting a solid enough connection to your battery. It cannot be understated how important it is to have a solid connection to your battery with these high-power inverters that draw a lot of current. I plan to hard wire it with some 0-2 gauge wire but the battery clamps will be handy to have in a pinch. The wire in them is a bit too thin really though, good enough for medium and small loads but any large load you really should upgrade your wire right away first thing. As long as this unit doesn't die an early death it will continue to be 5 stars from me mainly due to the great price for the wattage. If it gives any trouble I am the type that will be right back here updating the review as soon as it does.

Used now for years - great product for the price

I have now used this product for multiple years. I just used it to power my fridge, tv, pc, and internet after hurricane Milton for a week straight (I would it shut off my car for nights for around 6-7 hours - which my fridge would allow for healthy temps on my current low setting). The high peak voltage amount allows you to plug in your modern fridge/freezer without any issues. I have been incredibly impressed with this product for the price. I highly recommend.

Works great but watch some YouTube videos first.

We live in Florida and are subject to the occasional hurricane or tropical depression (one is on the way as I write this). I did a lot of research concerning the load this inverter would handle, i.e., side by side 25 cft. 11.6 amp fridge, box fan, small appliances, etc. I also took into consideration some of the 1 star reviews and decided the higher reviews out weighted the lower ones and decided to take a chance. I received the inverter, unboxed it, and followed the hook up instructions which are extremely minimal. Therefore, I encourage watching some YouTube videos. I then connected it to my car battery making sure the inverter was OFF, started my car (6 cyl Toyota Camry), switched it ON, green light indicator came on, connected a long extension cord to the inverter, then to my refrigerator and the interior light came ON. I left the door on the fridge open until the compressor kicked in. When it did, the light flickered for a moment, then the inverter adjusted to the load and then light came back on and the compressor kicked in. I let it run for a while and it maintained the load.I am impressed that this modified sine wave inverter actually did the job. Other reviews said it wouldn't run a refrigerator unless it was a pure sine wave...not true. This inverter is really two 1000w units in one housing (2000w). That's why you have two red and two black battery clamps. Connect one clamp to battery terminal, then clamp the second to the connected clamp...works great.
