Roundhill FurnitureUrban Style Solid Wood Leatherette Padded Parson Chair, Black, Set of 2

I was somewhat apprehensive about ordering these chairs. The reviews are mixed but the photographs look pretty good so I ordered 3 sets (6 chairs in all). They all came on different days. One box was in pretty good shape, The second box was delivered in a second box with another ordered item. The interior box was in bad shape but the chairs were protected. The third box was also delivered in another box because the original box was in shambles and parts were coming out of the box (the top was completely ripped off - poor cardboard I think). And 2 legs had fallen out somewhere along the line. So I am short 2 legs which, I assume, the vendor will replace.That said all of the materials were intact (except the 2 legs) and all seem to be in good shape. All hardware was was there too. (inside the bottom of each chair seat. There are 9 Allen head bolts for each chair. An Allen wrench is included with each chair so you can install the chair without additional tools. However, if you have, or can obtain an Allen head wrench tool for your electric drill this will speed the assembly up VERY considerably.We really like the look and feel of these new chairs. They have the appearance of rich dark brown leather. And seem sturdy enough for reasonable use. The dark brown legs are uncovered stained wood. susceptible to dings but can be easily daubed with a suitable furniture stain repair stick. The chairs are a little shorter (2.5 inches) than the Parson's chairs they replace but still nice and easy to lean back on.Given the price we like them very much and we are very happy with our purchase. (If the vendor comes up with replacement legs). <smile>

Very easy to put together. Not a heavy chair.Satisfied with the material. Comfortable to sit on.Really like the red for pop of color.Seems to hold up well, strong.

I think these are really nice for the price. I'm large so I don't want to say the sturdiness is unacceptable for others, but after two years one of the legs finally broke in such a way I can't fix it. The other has had a bolt that needs regular tightening since initial assembly. I'm considering trying to find a way to tighten the hole, but am not terribly handy. They were easy to assemble and really look nice so I still like them and am going to buy more. But I would caution on quality - these are not necessarily a good purchase for frequent use. I have fairly short legs and I can reach the floor with my feet flat and the padding and support make them very comfortable. I would not recommend them for use by a very tall person or anyone much over 250 lbs.

*SECOND UPDATE* It has now been 1 month since I requested replacement parts from the company with no reply after their first email. This is completely ridiculous. Today I'm filing a second complaint with the BBB. At least reply...this is legitimately the worst customer service I've ever received.*UPDATE* For three weeks, I have been trying to get replacement parts from Roundhill. Their first reply was 10 days after I sent the request, indicating I needed to contact Amazon, not them. Amazon can't provide replacement parts. It's now been three weeks, I have sent four emails, and no reply. I've filed a complaint with the BBB. Roundhill absolutely knows the furniture they made was crap and they don't care a bit.I am so disappointed! A little over two years ago, I ordered 10 of these chairs (five sets of two), and because the legs have broken on two of them (should have been a sign) I needed to re-order. I ordered one additional set to replace the two that are broken, and while I ordered the exact same product, they are so different! The chair it self sits an inch and a half lower than the others, and the "leather" is different as well. The quality doesn't seem near as nice as the ones we had ordered previously. The velcro flap on the bottom doesn't match up so one of the flaps hangs oddly. One leg is too short for the others (on both chairs) so they rock. The leather isn't stretched correctly, so there are odd places where it doesn't come together smoothly. Next time a leg breaks, I will be going elsewhere!!

These chairs are attractive enough for a casual or slightly more upscale environment, and they're not altogether uncomfortable. However, they're too short for a standard-size dining table. I'm 5'10", so it's not as though I need an unusual size of chair to reach the tabletop. After the chairs were assembled, I had to spend more on cushions to boost me. Further, with everyday use, the bolts that hold the chairs together gradually and continually loosen, so regular tightening is necessary. It's unnerving to be sitting on a chair and feel it start to wobble more and more. These chairs are a nightmare of inconveniences, and a woeful disappointment. Stay away and spend your money more judiciously.

I love these chairs, bought the green and it is beautiful. Bought six for a tinted smoked glass rectangular table and it is perfect. Went together smoothly and easily (not quickly). Legs are expresso color. There is 1" solid wood framing underneath, 9 bolts per chair for solidity, and ample padding on the seat and back. Very comfortable and attractive. Arrived in 2 days! via UPS in perfect condition. The product is wonderful and the price is wonderful and the workmanship is wonderful! Very happy. I would say to follow the directions carefully, because even if they all look the same, each chair has one shorter bolt for the center back of the seat. If you use the longer one there, it can go through the back fabric. And look inside the front leg to be sure that the tapped screw hole is facing in, not out. If you do this, they will not wobble at all. When all else fails, read the directions!

Nice chairs but the padding is very thin so if you don’t have a lot of padding it's not very comfortable. Also I had several knicks in the black material and the yellow under layer was showing through. And they smelled very bad smell had to leave outside for a couple of days to offgass it was giving headaches.

Great quality and comfortable, very little to assemble and easy to do . Came packaged really well perfect chairs for any tablle .

I do not have them put together yet as I am moving however I had a look @ them... Very Nice...Lovin' the color green! I'm thinking all the Great Reviews r correct... ; )

Very nice chairs

They look fine but once u sit on it they are too narrow , the sitting position is too straight and none of the 4 chairs where even! I had to remove the plastic pin under each leg and apply non scratching felt , double thickness on some to get straight. The fabric is not even on some parts and the thickness of the finished on the leg is tiny! But u get 4 what u pay !I will buy some on Wayfair and put these for extra!
