This is a tubing mascara. And it is glorious. Easy to apply (wipe the excess off the wand before applying--this is Mascara 101, and a necessity for tubing mascaras because they are always wetter than traditional mascaras)--the wand has a lot of fine bristles that do a good job of separating and coating each lash, and the small diameter makes it easy to reach the inner and outer corners even if your eyes are small. The formula dries quickly, and doesn't clump unless the tube is old or you wait too long between coats. I use two coats--the first coat I wiggle for volume, and the second coat I look down and pull the wand up and out to create curl and length. I prefer bold lashes so two coats is perfect for me (I don't see any gains by adding more than two coats), but for a work/day look most people will be fine with one coat.The formula is a true black, it does a good job of adding volume without creating spiderlashes or weighing lashes down, and the length and curl lasts all day in all weather. It stays put perfectly all day without flaking. It holds up to rain and tears well, but does come off my lower outer corners when I rub my eyes during allergy season. It removes easily with water and very gentle rubbing--I have not lost any lashes from this mascara and I don't find remnants of it the next day. For reference, other tubing mascaras I have tried that have not performed nearly as well as this one are Blinc Original (didn't seem to do much other than make the lashes black), Blinc Amplified (flaked off during the day), DHC Perfect Pro (hard to remove; I lost lashes with this one), and Trish McEvoy High Volume (clumpy formula that got even clumpier if it got wet).

I bought this mascara because someone told me it doesn't smudge. I always end up with mascara under my eyes, even though I use waterproof mascara, so I gave it a try. The true test will be in the summer, but as of now, she was right -- it does not smear, smudge, or flake. It's kind of strange -- it comes off with water, not makeup remover, and when it does, it kind of comes off in rubbery shreds. It comes off easily in water with no drag, unlike waterproof mascara. If I have it on in the shower, I sometimes see big shreds of mascara on my face when I come out. So I wouldn't swim in it. But even so, it doesn't seem to come off with tears (like if it's super cold & windy & my eyes water, the mascara stays on). It seems to clump more easily than other mascara, especially if I use more than one coat. But it's a subtle difference and basically it's just nice mascara. The fact that it doesn't smear or flake is HUGE. I plan on getting it again.

Great mascara . I would never buy any other . No clumping ! Make my eyelashes longer in a beautiful way . Not sure it is because of the way the brush is made or the formula , but it is the best mascara I had so far . I will reorder . Expensive but force the money

I heard this was the best tubing mascara. Maybe I got a really bad tube (??). It was dry. It flaked into my eyes when putting it on. It managed to smudge beneath my eyes many times during the day. I only use tubing mascara. This was easily the worst I’ve ever tried (hopefully it was a bad batch). This one was even hard to put ON. It would basically impossible to just even darken my lashes with color (my lashes are light). The end result was really sickly looking, somewhat sticky/ tacky eyelashes. I am thoroughly disappointed with this mascara after hearing so much about it. Due to the pandemic, I wasn’t smart enough to return or replace it before time ran out. Certainly it’s not always like this?? I’m so sad. I wanted to like it sooo much.

I love this mascara. I switched to tubing mascara about a year ago after having too many smudges with traditional mascaras. After reading many recommendations and reviews, I tried many highly rated tubing mascaras, but each one still left some smudges after about 6-8 hours. This one has lasted all day without any issues. It adds a lot of length and creates a big impact. Plus it comes off really easily when I'm ready to remove it. I also have chronically dry eyes, including occasional eye inflammation. This mascara hasn't aggravated my conditions at all. I highly recommend it.

This mascara is tubing mascara which I really like, the formula is good, and it washes very easily. There are problems with the spindle as it is VERY prone to clumping. It is misleading to call this product Volume Mascara. This really does not add any volume. Compared to other mascaras this is just slightly above average on lengthening and below average on volume or thickening. I have tried just about every mascara [in my quest to make my average or below lashes dramatic]. I would recommend this to someone with thick or plentiful lashes who just needs deep black mascara that washes easily and gives some length. Have a lash brush ready to de-clump.

I’ve spent so much time & especially Money* for the perfect mascara, THIS IS IT! My biggest pet peeve is when mascara smudges & it looks like I have shadows under my eyes or it “runs” THIS KEVYN AUCOIN MASCARA IS THE HOLY GRAIL ❤️
