Walkers Nonsuch Toffee Hammer Original Creamy, 14.1 Ounce

We love this toffee at our house. This is my third time purchasing, we ate the first one so fast I ordered another then refused to order any more for a year because we have no self control. :) I just ordered to give my son in his Christmas stocking and an extra for us to eat. It's so fun to break the toffee with the little hammer and it's the perfect toffee consistency, hard chewy. The flavor is amazing! I would order again and again but won't because I need to show some self restraint. :)

I've enjoyed this treat for years but was sorely disappointed this time. The slab was soft and mealy like caramel instead of the hard brittle toffee slab that requires a hammer. The last time I ate this toffee it was so yummy and chewy that I almost lost a cap, just as I like it. I'm so upset; is this seller an authorized distributor? The product is stale or spoiled somehow; I cannot imagine that this is being sold by Walkers. This product is disgusting.

This is a little different than toffee Americans are used to. No nuts inside, outside, , no chocolate, just pure toffee. It is not brittle hard either, its more like a very very hard caramel that CAN be broken into pieces with the little hammer. I love it!

This toffee is soft, more like caramel than toffee. When we bought this toffee before (both in England and through mail-order) it was hard and brittle, and delicious. This is soft, sticky, and gummy. The taste is not bad, but the texture is very off-putting. I would be better off buying a bag of Heath Toffee Bits.This is especially annoying since this was a Christmas treat for my wife, who is a toffee fanatic, who was so disappointed by the Walker's Nonsuch Toffee that she will not eat it.Bad form, Walker's. Bad form.

It is a slow melting piece of heaven between your lips. The flavor is what you dream of. It is not the typical hard toffee like I thought it would be but it is more like caramel. It leaves its flavor to delightfully linger.

I have ordered this before and have been very pleased with it, however, this last order was far from pleasing. I ordered three boxes and they were all the same. The hammer did not break the toffee because the toffee was soft. I could bend it with my hand. The texture was grainy and it had no flavor, like it was old or something. I'll think twice before I buy this again.

The toffee tasted wonderful, although getting a bite sized piece was very difficult to chip off. When I managed to break it up, it melded together in its airtight container, rendering it unedible.
