Champion Sports Anywhere Table Tennis: Ping Pong Paddles, Balls, and Portable Net & Post Set To Go, 10.1"L x 10.1"W x 3.2"H

We were inspired to grab this set after my wife got us a “ping-pongly” set for Xmas. To their credit, ping-pongly, with their adept social media marketing, planted the seed for this idea and enticed her to buy it. The problem was the quality of that set. It was made with that cheap, nasty Chinese “chemical smell“ rubber. If you’ve ever been in a Harbor Freight tool store, you know the smell, and you may also know that it never dissipates. We left the components, especially the net, with its rubber pad base, out in the sun for days, to no real improvement. The paddles from Ping Pongly were in a way, nicer, with their thick padded surfaces, but overall not good since they give off a literally eye-watering chemical stink, different, and worse, than their net assembly. So I set out to find something from a known, “American“ company, since even though they manufacture overseas, you know they aren’t using the really down-and-dirty factory and the horrible rubber compound with the chemical offgassing. Mission accomplished!! We are very happy with the new Champion set (and at half the price, no less!). If there’s any smell it’s the same smell you would expect opening up any brand-new sporting goods in the last 30 years. It is minimal. And the quality is excellent, especially the net, but the paddles are great too, if a bit louder with their harder, classic play surface. Tons of family fun, and NO stink!!!

My family and I were recently at a party where they had a ping pong table. My 7 year old son was interested so we struck up a game. Before I knew it my husband and father were on the sidelines wanting to play as well. I had played before but it had been years ago and forgot how much I enjoyed the game, same goes for hubby and dad. A few days later we were still talking about it so I hopped on amazon to see what I could find. I was looking for something simple and easy to use with just the basic items needed to play. This kit has it all and we couldn't be happier. Fits on our dining room table easily with no damage to the table. When you're done it all fits nicely into an included mesh bag. Very impressed so far with the quality, the price was right. For under $20 it provides hours of family fun and entertainment. We're excited to try it on our patio table as well. Just ordered a second one as a surprise for my dad. Great product, love it!!!!

This is a fantastic product overall. The clamps for each side of the net have a wide range of settings depending on the thickness of your table and it holds strong once in place. Paddles seem like standard, good quality like you’d find with a normal ping pong table set. The only drawback I can say is that when the net retracts you have to make sure it doesn’t get twisted as it goes. It hasn’t been a major issue just something to be aware of. I would highly recommend this product, it’s been a great indoor game for kids or adults to get energy out and I love that it can fit on any size table.

My 5 star rating is based on the price paid. The net works fine, attaches easily and is wide enough for pretty much any standard size table. The paddles are cheap and unfinished but work perfectly well and have a good grippy surface. The balls are cheap but that's not a bad thing. They do not bounce great but if you have ever used good ping pong balls you know they go everywhere when you miss. For young players or even just new players these balls give a good subdued play that won't have you chasing after them every time you miss. It comes with a cheap net bag but it works. For the price this is a great set and its perfect for taking on a trip or over to a fiends house or a picnic. It's a perfect gift as well. If you get good then you can invest in some good balls and then some good paddles, but really these paddles are fine for starter paddles and you can not beat the price!

I bought this portable ping pong table for my son as a gift and it is all we have done since he received it! It fits so easily on our dining table, which I was worried about because it is an unusually thick table. The net slid on with ease! It even comes with paddles and balls that are great quality! What a fun and easy way to play ping pong without having a huge bulky table! I plan to buy this for all future gifts for my kids' friends! They love it!

I bought 4 of these to use in my 5th grade classroom. Students love it. I ordered one for my own children as well. Nice product for the money.

Due to the price, I suppose I shouldn’t complain too much, but the net is starting to fall apart somewhat. The rubber pads that hold it to the table are falling off, but it still works OK. Everything else is great!

I bought this as a donation to the nearby recreation center because they kept supplying their table with cheap, easily damaged nets that require some extraneous measure(s) to mount the net on the table. Not only is this the sturdiest table tennis net that I've ever seen, but it is also the easiest and quickest net installation I've ever experienced. If installed as a permanent net to a ping pong table, I would say that it would require true intent to end up breaking this thing. If left on the same table, the wear and tear should be kept to an absolute minimum. However, I can see where constant removal of the net may contribute to some eventual loss in retraction function. Nonetheless, I feel the net alone is well worth $20. You get some decent yet cheap paddles and some just okay ping ping balls with it. I came back here hoping to buy a couple more, one for myself and other as a gift but it's all sold out!
