I had some stuff on the side of some teeth that accumulated between cleanings. I drink a lot of iced tea all day, every day and the stains do pile up. I bought this to help clean between cleanings whenever I saw this brown stain on my teeth. WOW! This little picker does work really well. There were just 2 spots up front I saw so I used it on them and they are now gone. Now I know what to do in between when I see the stain building up. Great product, great price and easy to use.

I know this isn’t made for dogs, but my senior pup can’t have dental cleanings anymore, so I’ve become her unofficial hygienist. Great value for the money—especially since vet dental care costs a fortune. It really does a good job of removing plaque when my dog sits still long enough —which is almost never. Honestly, it’s functional, durable, and a bargain for the quality. Bonus points if you like a good challenge—because getting near a squirmy dog’s teeth should qualify as a workout.

PROS: tips sized right to use between teeth, decent handle, stronger than grocery store model CONS: the "stainless steel" feels cheap, more expensive than other products of this quality Previously I had a dental pick set from the grocery store that resulted in a very positive checkup at my dentist. Its cheap plastic handle broke, so I started searching Amazon for something more substantial. For $6.96 I bought the POLKASTORE Professional Dental Scraper Tool. It works for cleaning between my teeth without painful pin pricks to my gums, and without feeling like it is damaging anything. It is strong enough to have light force placed against it without bending or breaking. The material seems a cheap. Definitely not professional-quality, but then again it costs 1/10th of what the pros pay for at dental supply wholesalers.

Works really well. Purchased after years of using those flimsy plastic ones from the dental section of the grocery store. Such a waste of money since those do not work. Was very happy with this and works very well, when used gently. I clean mine with rubbing alcohol regularly to disinfect.
