I've got an ageing cat that isn't able to keep on top of grooming herself so a lot of matts had built up in her long fur. This brush gently thinned her coat getting to the thicker one under her top coat stopping new tangles. I was able to tease out a lot of the mats even in the sensitive areas under her legs and on her belly and my cat was far more tolerant of it than the Furminator brush which pulls and is better suited for short fur. There are still some very dense mats that will need to removed with clippers but I'm hoping this brush should prevent that happening again, maybe make her less prone to fur balls and lessen the amount of fur she sheds that coats all the floors and furniture!

Very efficient under coat remover. Won’t remove thick matted bobbles without pulling so hard that you get scratched.However excellent preventive of matting if used in time!Helps animal keep cooler in the heat of summer.

Very good on our huskies coat - it removes such a lot of their coats.
