Yes you could but this is very poor quality eyes started to fall out after a couple of weeks

How do you tie it tight

It doesn't 'tie tight' as such. The top has four evenly spaced eyelets, one of which has a central metal loop which passes through the other eyelets. This is then held closed with a sprung metal clip attached to a tough canvas strap. It sounds complex but is actually a rather elegant solution.
