Waited to write a review until my dog had used this for awhile. My dog uses/lays/sleeps on this nightly! And she chooses to sleep on it, as there are multiple options in the bedroom - including the bed - for her to chose from. My GS dog runs hot, so I am happy that this pad provides her relief at night. Granted, she starts the night on my bed, but ends up moving to this in about an hour. I've placed this pad on top of her dog bed. Working great!!

I have a 100 lbs plush coat GSD and my only complaint is that I wish I could purchase a bigger one - he loves it! Whether I leave it outside for him or bring it inside, he finds it and lays on it to cool off, especially after walks. I've had it for a week or so and it's still cool, durable, and soft for him to lay on. Please make a HUGE one for my bear!

This helped my senior dog survive a heat wave. The fabric was soft, lavender background with pink yellow and purple pause. Perfect for my plum white bedroom. Now I need to go buy a people one too !

I was trying to find a balance between keeping my dog's arthritic limbs cushioned while still trying to offset her full coat of hair that's like a personal furnace in the summers.Just to be clear, this mat is not the cushion that I was talking about. While soft, it is super thin so will basically be like lying on the hard floor. The cushioning is going to come from whatever soft bed/blankets you already have for your dog and the mat is the cool overlay that you put on top (see attached pictures).When I do this, the mat is not ice cold but it is cooler to the touch compared to the hardwood floors. After she lies on it for a few hours, the spot that she lies on does become warm so I usually just move her to a different part.Given these limitations (thin, cool but not AC cold, and coolness won't last the whole day if your dog never moves from that one spot), it shouldn't be the ONLY thing you use to try to keep your dog cool. But it is a helpful addition (there should hopefully be fans/AC, good airflow, access to cool water, etc). Also I can't comment with confidence whether it's chew proof since my dog is too old to chew through anything except her food. However, thinness of the material makes me think that it's probably not chew proof to a larger, younger dog...P.s. The underside is the netted side. Should be obvious as it doesn't feel cool but just in case someone was wondering which side to put your dog on like I did for the first 10 seconds after I opened up the package.

I was a little leery about this when I ordered it. It is as advertised and much more durable than expected. We have a one year old puppy who tears up just about anything he can get his teeth onto. We put this in his bed and let him sleep on it, and it has weathered everything he has tried to do to it. I recommend!

Good product! Cleans in washer and keeps my dog cool in kennel.

Although the mat does seem to keep cool, the dog can’t lie fully in it because it slips and bunches up — even in carpeted surfaces. The product needs some sort of non slip feature. I tried carpet tape but it won’t adhere properly.

It appears to be no different that a ordinary dog matEven by putting it in the freezer, it stays cool for a very short time
