Deserves 10 stars
It is very hard for people to realize that this has happened and is still happening today to so many children and not just the author alone. This book brings out the horrors that children go through to have someone love them, the book also brings out that there are very bad people in the world willing and capable of hurting defenseless children unable to escape their own story of hell. This is the horrible story of a very young innocent child who is forced to grow up very fast in a perverted environment in order to survive. A world that no child deserves to live, only because he found love by the wrong people. To have that love he has to learn how to keep secrets, to lie and to be horribly tortured, beaten, bloodied, terrified and plain scared of what the next day will bring. This story was horrible to endure and I can say was just as horrible to tell. I happen to be one of those many children with a very similar story. It took me almost 10 years to get out of that game. I am now after so many years of keeping my secrets and lying to hide my story, I'm finally in therapy. This book although very triggering for anyone who was sexually abused gave me the insight into myself that few have have been able to do.This book is not for the faint at heart but it is an excellent look into a world that so many children have to endure every day. This is a book on how not to treat children that they have to go looking for people to love them simply because they found no love at home. Hug your ((((( child ))))) today, it might save his/her life.Love, peace, healing & hope. I does get better <3

Appears based on true events but details highly fictionalized all the same
I just finished reading "Silent Victim" and "Untold Stories" by Timmy Fielding. Although supposed to be based on true events, and I'm not saying it isn't, in terms of the major events in his life, the book is certainly fictionalized because nobody could remember so much detail about their early years as is reported in this book --- like what time Timmy wakes up each day or when he goes to bed, what he ate on a particular day, what type of beating (wire hanger or broomstick) he was subjected to by his mom, and for what reason etc. So this gives more of a feeling of a fictional account than a strictly non-fiction book. I just checked and there is no disclaimer at the beginning of the book about this. Re the rapes, and there's not other word for them, and the physical abuse the author may have remembered in more detail. At some point in this book (or the sequel), Timmy says he knows what he was doing is wrong. I cannot understand why he didn't go to the police (or better yet, the FBI) -- all they needed was a search warrant for any of the houses involved, which would have contained plenty of evidence and they could round up all of the major players (since Timmy knew where the houses were). The minor players would have been too scared to retaliate. This was before cell phones, so they couldn't have contacted each other so easily. And perhaps he did -- the end of the second book mentions a third, "Escaping Child Abuse" which implies he did get out of this mess somehow. And for his mom -- after one of the bad beatings, he should have gone to a hospital. His brother would have backed up his story, and again the house would have evidence. Finally there are lots of spelling errors in the book, such as finely instead of finally. That make it a little hard to read sometimes. He even makes the same spelling error on one of his websites!I'm still giving this book four stars, because it was a good read, despite the problems above.

One of the best books I have ever read.
I have am sure I cried reading a book before but never like I cried reading this one. I was so lost in this book and so captivated by it that could feel Timmy's pain. I was able to understand and see things from his perspective and why his ran to the people who abused him. I actually sobbed when reading this not just a couple tear but sobbed (many times). I read the sequel also and it was just as good and made me cry even more. In this book your able to look in to Timmys mind and feel what he is feeling when he is abused by his mother and pushed in to the arms if his pedophile teacher. wHis teacher brian gives him the attention he so desperately yearns to have from others. Brian buys him new things and takes him places earning his trust. But brian then betrays him by putting introducing him to the "group" which is a bunch of rich men/pedophiles who produce child porn. He was beat and had un imaginable things done to him that I was shocked he lived through. The book after this one is just as good. I just started the third because after reading the first I had to read the second two books after. I am actually surprised they were only $3.99 a book because they were work more. Timmy if you ever read this review know my heart is with you. I wish I was there to save you as a child. But because if your book I will keep a better eye out for people around my children. I will make sure they get all the lobe they need at home so they never feel they need it from other places. Also I will be more observant for other children I meet and offer all the live and support I can. Thank you for sharing your story.

This is a disturbing book
I impulse brought this book because the cover art looked a little like my grandson. I could not put this book down as it was so horrific. I wanted so much to save this poor child and prayed this was a work of demented fiction. I finished all three books in the series and have concluded it is a real account of torture done to a real boy. Survival is Timmy's reward. I hope he makes good money from these books and I hope his mother and the men who hurt him rot in hell. The other reviewers are right. The typos and bad editing are hard to get passed. Some of the passages are difficult to stomach once and having to read them several times to make sense of them is a chore.

A difficult story to take in
I think most imagine child porn rings to only exist in exotic or poor countries. Nope! They exist among us when predators, often those in highly respected positions in the community, prey on vulnerable children. This is just such a (true) story, of a 9 year old boy victim. It's not an enjoyable read, at times nearly impossible to imagine, but a necessary read. I gave it 4 stars, not due to the story, only because the writing style is clearly not from a professional writer.

Growing Up In A Child Porn Ring
Timmy Fieldings is 9yrs old when he is preyed upon by Brian Gunther, a teacher at his school, Timmy has a very bad home life and is flattered and pleased with Brian's attention. What he didn't know was that he was to be introduced to the sordid world of child pornography where he would be forced to do things he didn't want and face a depraved form of torture for the ring he had become involved in and blackmail and threats were enough to keep him there.

Harrowing and quite gruesome.
I didn't give this five stars because then it would give the impression that this memoir is fantastic and I'd recommend it to everyone. I wouldn't recommend this to everyone. You wouldn't want to be of a sensitive disposition anyway. It doesn't make pleasant reading - but then what memoir of child abuse would be?When we read about child abuse cases in the newspapers we are generally spared the details. We get a general story and I suspect that's enough really for most people to take. This particular memoir gives some background to those sort of cases we casually glance over and remark as 'shocking' but then move on. It isn't pleasant. We forget how many children are killed or maimed at the hands of their own parents every year. Home can be the most dangerous place to be for some children. In this case, as bad as his home life was, there were worse places to be. He's writing this as a grown man now so I'd imagine there is license in dialogue and time lines but the feelings are real. He gets across that constant state of fear he was in as a nine year old boy as nothing more than a prop in the lives of wealthy quite disturbed men who used him violently.Because his mother was a vicious brutal woman who savagely beat him and his brother for no reason the home of his third grade teacher became a refuge. I thought it was conveyed very well how he came to depend on this man who was to the outside world perfectly respectable and attractive. Even Timmy's mother fancied him. As a child he had little idea of what was going on in the background. He gave him some stability but pimped him out to men worse than himself but was still able to keep hold of the boys emotional attachment. I found that quite strange. If you come from a fairly average family background it is hard to understand why the boys (there were others in his situation) just didn't tell someone or why none of his mother's beatings were never remarked on and ignored by the father. However the papers are daily full of such gruesome cases and this is in a world of 'child centred' reporting. They are still out there. Thousands of children have to be rescued by social services every year from their own homes. Timmy wasn't one of them.If you want some background to some of the awful cases you read in the papers this is one account that is readable. Most of the more gruesome aspects are glossed over or hinted at. Thankfully. It conveys clearly how easy it is to manipulate a vulnerable child. Worth reading but read with caution.---------spoiler ---------------There is no happy ending or resolution in this book. There is no police investigation or arrest of the well to do men mentioned in the memoir. We never learn what happens to the other boys in the book. Maybe they are still out there?

This book shows how easy it is for young children to be groomed into the world of paedophilia. It's a sickening story yet an eye opener. It's a shame only the two first books in this trilogy are available on Amazon. Hoping the third and final book will become available soon
