Athalon Luggage 21 Inch Hybrid Travelers Bag, Graffiti, One Size

I travel often, by car, by plane, and by rail. In addition, my upper-body strength isn't red-hot. I need a suitcase that packs compactly, wheels without effort, and can be picked up easily from any side or angle.Also, my suitcases must be sturdy. They need zippers and latches that withstand brusque handling by baggage loaders, security staff, and Customs officials. (I will never, ever forget the day my former suitcase appeared on the airport carousel with a broken zipper and my underwear hanging out the side. Since then, I'm a fanatic for well-made suitcases.)So far, this suitcase is the best I've ever owned. The adjustable handle is long enough for easy use by tall people (like me) and the wheels handle corners nicely. Short or tall, the ergonomics work. Also, the design of the suitcase makes it easy to organize when you're packing, and find exactly what you need, on short notice or in cramped quarters.The outside of the suitcase is sturdy and the fabric is easy to keep clean. After several trips in a wide range of weather conditions, my suitcase looks like new.And, it's compact enough to use as carry-on luggage on a plane, while holding enough for a trip of several weeks.From my viewpoint, this suitcase is about as perfect as it gets.

I have been traveling with this bag for almost a year during which I've flown with it and taken it on road trips, and I still relish the thought of packing it for yet another trip. It is sturdy, well designed, and well executed. Somewhat on the larger size for carry-ons, actually, but it would fit in the overhead luggage bin of all but the smallest planes, I'd imagine. I usually check it in when traveling by air, though, for convenience's sake-- it's not always possible to find 21 inches of overhead luggage space in a fully-booked flight. The bag is large enough to accommodate 'stuff' for a 2-3 day trip. The bag has four interior side pockets and three roomy ones along the inside top, one of which is zippered and made of clear plastic. So there's plenty of room to place shoes, phone cables, toiletries, etc, while leaving plenty of room in the middle for clothes and larger items.The two zippered pouches on the outside of the bag can be used for storing flat items like magazines or whatever fits, really.Quality: materials are sturdy. The scoping handle (I've leaned on it, pulled at it, accidentally upturned my bag) is still working after a year of (ab)use-- it's often the first thing to stop working on a piece of luggage. I'm 5' 2" and the handle is the perfect length for me. Great zippers! Solid wheels. This isn't a coaster-style, but I've had no problems wheeling it through airports, regardless of how long the walk. I like that they've put some thought into design details.There are cheaper bags out there . But this has been a good piece for the price, for me.

Very roomy, lightweight, great color and can use as a carryon. Went away for 21 days in Europe and was able to pack 4 pairs of pants, 14 underwear, 14 shirts, scarves and of course did a wash after 14 days. Trick was to roll everything up which by the way prevents wrinkling. Wheels held up considering we were walking on cobblestone streets. Zippers didn't break and has 2 pockets on the side and 1 pocket on top which is hidden under the handle. 4 mesh pockets inside on the side (2 on each side). The handle worked great. Took an additional tote as a carryon. I was surprised when I received the bag how much I was able to fit inside. Great bag for carryon and trucking all over Europe.

Really 4.5 Stars but read on to see why...I bought this carry on for it's looks and the different construction and when I used it the first time to go to Vegas I was very pleased with how easy it was to use and move around with it.We all know how annoying it is to go through security checkpoints but this bag with it's top and side pockets that open and close so easily it was fast and easy to slide my iPad, iPhone belt, wallet, sunglasses, and on and on....you get what I mean. The whole strip down process was smooth during security checks. Really like the 4 side snaps to secure everything too. Made it a little more compact and it fit in the overhead bin easily.. even with the wheels, which roll smoothly, by the way.The handle opens and closes smoothly but has a little wiggle/play when fully extended. Still feels secure and strong but over time I wonder if that might be a weak point.When I opened the main part of the bag I noticed you can see the handle arms along the bottom. They are covered with fabric just no padding so it's actually giving me more room to put clothes and other items inside. If they had padded it I would've lost some space. So aesthetically it looks bumpy, slightly unfinished but the space added is worth it.All in all I really like this carry on and I will be looking for my larger bag in the same style in the near future.

I've been looking for a carry on for some time but could find one I liked. This bag is perfect. Four spinner wheels are nice when in the airport but horrible when trying to get your bag in the over head. The two inset wheels on this bag are great and never get in the way. Build quality is excellent. Sturdy handles and strong zippers. The pull up handle could be a little stronger but I don't anticipate it breaking. Over all I'm very impressed and I wasn't easy to please.

Love this bag lots of room for its size, easy to carry and different enough that it's easy to pick out at the airport

I am a very light traveller, and this traveler bag (more like a carry on suitcase size) met my expectations and then some. I love the graffiti look as it is very easy to spot coming around the luggage turnstiles, extremely easy to move around (extension handle; move around with wheels, top hand grip and side hand grip), just in case you overpack there is the extra security of the wrap around clips which give the suitcase that little extra bit of security ie. if the zippers get damaged in transportation, the back up clips are still in place. I cannot say enough about this product. It's the only piece I use right now.

Perfect little bag for overnight trips, or acting as a carry-on, although I haven"t done that yet. The size, however, is within the airlines specifications.

Great for short overnight trips especially in the summer when less bulky attire is needed. The different compartments allow for some additional space. Smaller than I expected but perfect to use for carry on luggage for a plane. Oh yes, the wheels make it easier to lug around when you are tired of having it on your back.
