The Cat That God Sent Review: Found It Truly Good & Believable - Wish I had found this book a long time ago but now I have and I loved it so much. Have had cats most of my life (currently have three). As I read this book by Jim Kraus, it was very believable to me that a cat could bring us to God, that a cat could be smart enough to try to talk to us (communicate, because they do) and that they would also be smart enough to try to protect us. I totally loved the author's storyline unfolding as it did. It made me smile, laugh and feel sad at times. While reading many of the thoughts Petey had, I could imagine one of my own cats thinking the same thoughts. Can't recommend this book more highly. Want to give it ten stars but have to settle with just five. Will be getting copies to any of my friends who haven't already read it. Next book to read will be The Dog That God Sent by Jim Kraus. Review: So Like LIfe's Situations. - I loved this book! If you like to read a feel-good story, this one's for you. It honors both God and cats. It tells a story that is true to life. It reveals human character with its flaws and its kindness. The story line is simple but you find yourself wanting to keep reading and reading right through to the end. The author also has books about dogs but i doubt they top this one. If you're a cat lover you'll just love Petey!

Great and Fun story
Such a fun story. A pastor is hired for a small time church, he's troubled, lost faith and feels like a fraud. A cat, led by God, shows up on his doorstep and continues to implant himself into pastor's life, even showing up on the stage of the church to listen to the sermons. The cat, named Petey, guides many of the townspeople to the church and as the story progresses helps many to regain faith and hope which they've lost. I totally enjoyed this quick read and can see me rereading the story.

pure joy
I couldn't have enjoyed this book more. How nice to be able to step away from everyday drama and curl up with a warm hearted story and just enjoy - enjoy the characters, enjoy the interaction, enjoy the cat (of course!) and enjoy the storyline all intertwined among each one. (I also know Coudersport, so it was particularly fun to identify the places as they were visited and described - yes, even the ice mine :-)) I was impressed that the speech patterns used were definitely local and so easy to "hear" as I read the dialogues. Thank you for this book, Mr. Kraus - it gave me something, too, just like the characters - now I'm ready to read about The Dog <grin>

Excellent writing and totally recommended
I read 90% of this story in one sitting. The writing is great and I was able to picture all the characters and their surrounding environments quite vividly. I can still see them all in my mind's eye. The character's senses were also described very well. The facial expressions and body language of the characters: ditto. It reads like watching a movie, very well done. The story for me was not at all predictable until the last 1/4 of the book. Even then I didn't know what all the characters would think or do once they knew what I suspected. I only found 3 small errors in this book, Kindle edition. Very good read, recommended.

This is a good Christian fiction story that will give you life lessons
Pastor Jake arrives at his new church in the small town of Coudersport, Pennsylvania. The town is very small and one of the main meeting places is a MacDonalds. As Pastor Jake moves into his new home a stray cat comes up to him and "adopts" him. The cat has a sore paw so he takes the cat to the local vet, Emma. A few days later a runaway girl, Tassy comes to town and is allowed to live in a huge RV parked in back of the church. The town is so small it only takes a few hours for anything new to make its way around the town's rumor mill. Pastor Jake has a secret from his former life as an associate pastor he hopes to keep from the town. Tassy and Emma also have secrets. This is a good Christian fiction story that will give you life lessons.

Yes. Sometimes God Sends A Cat.
I really enjoyed this book. I do sort of wish it was a series. I would enjoy following the characters through their lives.

Faith with humor
I saw so much of myself, my church family and my pastor in this wonderful book. We all loose our way from time to time on this journey called life but God will always send us a sign, maybe even a cat!
