Most economical laser toner for small business home office.
I Have been using Brother laser printers which use this cartridge for about 7 years. GREAT PRODUCT. In fact the Brother multi function machine I currently use is a (now discontinued) MFC 9600. It has now been replaced with the nearly identical MFC 9700. I have had it for some 5 years with regular use and it works flawlesly. I use about 3 or 4 TN460 cartridges per year. Brother seems to be about the only manufacturer which provides a decent economical value for laser toner. Yes their printers/multi function machines cost a little more initially, but, do the long term math. You pay dearly in toner costs down the road with other better known or more highly publisized brands. I am continually surprised when I inquire at any office supply store about the cost per print or cost of operation of any given laser printer. The sales people are baffled, and never seem to know. This to me is THE question to ask. And, with the cost a some excellent full featured heavy duty Brother multifunction machines (fax scanner laser printer) very close to $300, it really does not make any sense to buy anything else if you are a small business home office with fairly regular laser/fax usage. Yes you might get a laser printer for $100 less. But after a few cartridges, you will wish you had a Brother using this economical cartridge.

Reliable and does provide about 6000 pages.
My HL-1440 laser printer has been blinking telling me the toner cartridge is low. I kept thinking "this is suppose to yield 6000 pages and I haven't printed that many pages". I don't print a lot (home use) and kept thinking I only changed the cartridge no more than 2 years ago. Well, thanks to Amazon. They kept track of everything you buy from them. I actually went back and found out I bought the cartridge in Apr. 2004 (though I didn't install it right away). Also found out its now $7 more than the last time I bought it which isn't bad since its been 3+ years. I checked Brother's support FAQ's and found out how to pull up my page counter and saw 8847 pages. Its reaching 9000 pages which is why the TN460 is blinking low toner. (3000 pages for the initial TN430 and 6000 for this cartridge). Reliable printer (no problems whatsoever) and toner cartridge that does last as long at they say.

Quality replacement.
Was delivered quickly. Was factory replacement Cartridge and came in unopened factory packaging. I will buy here again. I Like the Brother printers. They do a good job and the toner cartridges are cheaper than the competition and last longer.

Not worth risking the printer on generic toner.
Perhaps when my printer is nearing the end of its life, I'll attempt to substitute generic toner cartridges. If the "real thing" wasn't multiple times the price of the generics, it wouldn't be an issue, but 2 cartridges costs more than I paid for the printer. That being said, the original cartridges work just fine.

You Will Think It Will Last Forever
The Brother laser printer and toner cartridge produce great printouts and will save you $$$$$ over time vs. the ink-jet printers. The high yield vs. the slightly less expensive black toner cartridge will surprise you as to the infrequent need for replacements. This is a black-only cartridge with a black-only Brother laser printer and will get a Brother color printer when its time to replace my current color printer. Have two of these at the family work station along with a Canon ink-jet all-in-one color (five different cartridges), which I seldom use because of the frequent costly replacements of the cartridges.

Hassle-free Fax and Copying
I have owned four other fax machines, and all were prone to be tempermental, easily jammed, slow as Christmas, and infuriating in their propensity to break down at the worst possible times. This machine is a dream. It is blazing fast. It does not insist on wasting your paper with daily reports of activities. I have not had one paper jam since I installed it. Sometimes, like tax time, I have to stuff 30 wrinkled pieces of odd-sized documents into the machine. It purrs like a kitten. No shrill noises. No shredded paper.Anyone could change the toner cartridge on this machine in about ten seconds. Consumer reports recommended it the best also.

Be careful opening box
The box was sealed with tape, as usual. I cut it open and pulled out the foil bag. One end of the bag was already cut open and the cartridge slid right out onto the floor, broke and spilled toner everywhere. Why would the box be taped (no indication that it had been opened once) but the foil cut open? I can only think that it must have been repacked but they didn't bother to retape the foil bag. I didn't take photos because the toner went all over an expensive antique rug and I was in a hurry to clean it up. I expect better from a company like Brother. Very sloppy.

and works just fine. This is supposed to be a 6
Not much to say, except that the part was as advertised, fit properly in my laser printer, and works just fine. This is supposed to be a 6,000-page cartridge, as opposed to the TN430 which is rated for 3,000 pages. For some reason Amazon.com didn't display the TN460 when I did a search for a Brother toner cartridge for our Intellifax 4750e, but it displayed the TN460 when I searched for it by model number. Since the price was similar, no point in my buying the TN430 for this busy printer.
